Overall we enjoyed our stay at the Wicked Whale. The house is way overpriced. The pros, pool was nice and we all enjoyed daily swims, location is great, just a block from the beach so it was easy to come and go to the beach as we pleased. Close to stores, restaurants, golf courses, 20 minutes from Broadway at the Beach and only 10 from Barefoot Landing. The cons, the beds, couches, and even the dining room chairs were all SO uncomfortable. The beds were completely sagging, pillows flat, rugs and throw pillows old and worn out. Impossible to get a decent night sleep or relax on the couch it was scratchy and sagging. For the amount we paid for one week, time to upgrade to new beds, mattresses, couches and furnishings because there was literally not a comfortable place to sit or lay down the entire time we were there.

Pool dirty. Tv downstairs broken. Maintenance came out couldnt fix it. Chairs at pool old. Bed not comfortable. House was clean. Great location. Ac worked great. Ladies at office friendly. Lots of kitchen supplies.

Great location! Layout of the home was amazing! Wish we wouldā€™ve had a larger group to enjoy the downstairs! Pool was the perfect touch for our little! We did reach out re the cleaning schedule of the pool (it needed to be vacuumed). Our stay was Thursday- Sunday and it was the end of the seasonā€¦ Lots of plates/ cups / utensils but nothing in the pantry. No spices, salt & pepper- so bring / buy your own. A great place & weā€™d def stay again.

Our family decided on a last minute vacation, we booked the house with no issues and loved the house. When we arrived, the house was clean and the pool was awesome. The beach was only a short walk and the kids throughly enjoyed the private pool.

This was a rental for a family vacation along with our pets. The location was perfect, a very short distance to the beach and everything else around, even the offices. Very quiet neighborhood. The unit was perfect with more than enough room for everyone.

The house was just as advertised and PERFECT! It had everything we needed for a 5 day stay, the cleanliness was outstanding, and the pool was by far the family favorite. We will be coming back next year!

This house was very clean, the beds were comfy and just a couple of blocks to the beach. We stayed with friends and had a wonderful time. Iā€™d stay here again definitely.

This property was great with having a pet. Nice back yard that is fenced. Places to walk her and well lite at night. We didnā€™t have a hair dryer, left VM around 7pm and had it the next morning. Great beach access that was walkable. Also walked to restaurants and shops.

We rented The Wicked Whale for a week for our destination wedding. The main floor of the location was clean, spacious, and had everything we needed. The beds were really comfortable, and the half bath off the main bathroom was an added bonus. The yard was also great for late night trips to let the dog out. The check-in and check-out processes were incredibly easy. The only negative was that the small first floor separate suite did have a bit of a musty odor, although the place was very clean and the jacuzzi tub was really nice. It wasn't a big deal since we weren't using it (one person from our wedding party did end up crashing overnight there), but it may have been bothersome if people stayed the whole week.

Love my stay, the area was nice and the walk distance to the beach was short. The space on the lower level work great for my two dogs and their crates. Make a huge difference having a backyard also. Overall was great and I would rent again.

This was our first trip to Myrtle Beach and it didn't disappoint. The house was nice and it was a 2 minute walk to the beach. Loved having a yard for our dog. I believe this is the first season for rentals of the house and while all the basics were in the kitchen, over time, some additions could help. We purchased two pyrex dishes to use in the microwave as there wasn't anything in the cabinets to use otherwise, only melamine and metal pots. We also "gifted" two new beach chairs. Having use of a grill was great; thank you! Again we thoroughly enjoyed our vacation and would recommend this property.
