We rented this property as a combo family vacation/dance nationals competition stay. Unfortunately upon arrival the unit was VERY dirty. We arrived around 6pm and saw that things were not up to my probably higher than normal standard of clean. We left, grabbed a quick dinner and went to the grocery store. While putting away groceries we noticed how dirty things really were. Food stuck to appliances. FILTHY floors that turned our feet and socks black. Hair and dust in the tubs and showers. I put my 4 and 6yo kids to bed and had to sweep and mop the floors. While sweeping I found broken glass on the kitchen floor. We were highly upset by this. The next morning when we woke up to make breakfast, we pulled plates out and they were COVERED in old greasy, there were coffee mugs with clumped moldy something in them. We had to run ALL the dishes through the dishwasher before I could let my kids eat off of them. I took photos of everything and sent them to the owner. Unfortunately all I got was an apology and thank you for letting me know. As if it was the fault of a cleaning crew. I also let the rental company know who I had provided me all my check in information. When they followed up with me that they had spoken to the owner as well and it would be up to her and I to come up with a resolution, I decided to request my cleaning fee portion of my rental returned. The owner argued that the cleaning fee was not as much as I requested even though I have a detailed invoice!
