« Staff lovely room great & good delicious »

« I have a 3-5 on service. All the staff that I interacted with were very helpful and professional. However, the housekeeping was not good. I was only there for 2 days. On the first day, my room was not cleaned, despite housekeeping being right outside the room when I left for the day. On the second day, the room was cleaned but the amenities (tea, coffee, etc.) were not replenished. Clearly no quality checks by the housekeeping management. »

« Arrival was easy, nobody manning reception but was not a problem, key left on the side clearly labelled and clear instructions etc. Room clean and well presented, good amenities, including tea, coffee, fresh milk etc. Room not perfectly blackout with some streetlight coming in round the side of the curtains, and a faint green light from the fire exit sign, not something that bothers me as I sleep with my eyes closed, but some day dreamers might want a blindfold. Bed was clean, very comfortable...

« Great little place to stay whilst attending a wedding at nearby Lake Henry. The lodge is immaculately clean and finished to a high spec. We received a fab little welcome pack too which meant breakfast on both mornings were sorted for us. It is so quiet and dark which enabled a great nights sleep too »

« Elm tree cottage was the best stay I’ve had in Yorkshire , I visit often and by far the best place I’ve stayed the hosts were lovely and kind and was great to chat too! The location was perfect in a cute little village on a farm close to Thirsk and an easy drive to York. Providing the essentials for cooking and a cozy little cottage too! Would definitely recommend and look forward to returning in the future! »

« This cottage has a really nice vibe very clean and ideally situated for visiting Thirsk and the local communities. The market square is a few short steps away The railway station is a pleasant 30 minutes walk away, but it does have a bus service if the weather is not too good The cottage is spread over 3 storeys and is modern kitchen and bathroom on the ground floor and sitting/living room is 1st floor and bedroom top floor. « Nearest shops are in Bedale but there is fantastic pub in the village, the landlord is a great bloke as are the folk from the village was made to feel very welcome »
