Highly recommended for a beautiful in the woods getaway. Scott and Liz are fantastic hosts and the cottage was mint with all amenities you could possibly need. Great time and memories with my family.

Excerlent cabin. Everything in perfect condition and well prepared. Check-in and communication with the owner is easy and convenient. The info/instructions are clear. The owner is a gentleman and considerate for cabin users.

Clean, well planned, well thought out, well executed spot. Unfortunately, we came at the hottest week (which the host warned about) and during a wildfire (smoke every where). Even so, the place was exactly what was described and peaceful. Also, really nice design and information. Note, the surrounding area, all beaches are private property and finding a place to enjoy the water is difficult.

We had a fantastic stay! The house itself is gorgeous, with impressive exterior architecture and highly tasteful interior design. The amenities are very well-thought-out and comprehensive. The kitchen was fully stocked with all the cooking tools we needed, and having a BBQ grill ready to use was a great bonus. The host's attention to detail really stood out to us-from thoughtful touches like an "in case you forgot" box to a curated guidebook filled with local recommendations for nearby spots and restaurants. The only small thing to note for future guests is the drinking water. Although the host notes that the tap water is safe to drink, it does have a strong metallic/ rusty taste, so we'd recommend bringing a few bottles of drinking water along for your stay. Overall, it's a wonderful place, and we would definitely recommend it!

Perfect weekend away

This is an awesome place to stay. My friends and I had a wonderful time catching up in this amazing location. It has a beautiful setting, plenty of space, everything you could hope far by way of amenities, and is stylishly decorated. We loved it and wouldn't hesitate to come back again.

The cabin was in immaculate condition with really great amenities. It was a lovely combination of comfort and quiet in a forest setting. The beach was only a 10 minute walk away. All in all, perfect for a family get-together as we had plenty of room to spread out.

Really comfortable and quiet

It was a real pleasure to stay at the Cabin. Super easy to access, everything needed is at the location. My oldest had so much fun discovering and listening to the great collection of vinyl. Incredible quality of the sound system I have to notice.

Wonderful weekend getaway. Would not have been the same without this cabin. The place was extremely clean and cozy, had everything we needed and beyond. Pet friendly cabin. Hiking trails and parks were within short drive away and we had an amazing view to star gaze right at the cabin. Cabin host Scott was superb, very helpful, friendly, and considerate. Will definitely return!

Another beautiful visit

This place is so beautiful, cozy, comfortable! This was my second stay and I will be back again and again and again! The cabin has become my home away from home when I’m visiting with family in the area. A friend stayed with me for a few days and she also adored it. Scott is an excellent host. He goes above and beyond and is a great communicator. Perfection all around :)

Sanctuary

The cabin was a restful, quiet place to call home while we visited with family that lives in the area. We found everything we were searching for during our stay. A much needed weekend of relaxing!

Our stay at The Bruce Cabin was a delightful escape into winter wonderland bliss. The cabin's well-maintained charm and stunning views set the stage for a cozy getaway. We especially loved the vinyl collection, perfect for evenings by the fireplace. The fully stocked kitchen made mealtime a joy, and the variety of coffee brewing options ensured our mornings started just right. The Bruce Cabin offers everything you need for a magical winter retreat. We can't wait to return!

Perfect Getaway Cabin

We really enjoyed our stay at the cozy cabin. From the moment we walked in it felt like home. Everything we could need was there, and we really appreciated the little touches to make our stay comfortable. The location is beautiful and peaceful. Even without a/c it cooled off quickly with windows & patio doors open, especially at night. The cabin was very clean and exactly as pictured! We communicated with Scott before and during our stay, and he was very quick to respond & answer questions. We were quite happy with the cabin & would highly recommend choosing it for your stay in the area. The location was perfect, and only a 35 minute drive to Tobermory. Great beaches in the area of the cabin. We did the stargazing with Bayside Astronomy, in Lion's Head, on Saturday night & were amazed at seeing the Milky Way & Saturn through telescopes! Would book again if we are in the area. Thanks, Scott, for being a great host!

This Cabin is Perfection!

We are a busy family of 5 with two daughters in University, one out of province and our third in high school. We were looking for a place to relax, reconnect and recharge and we were not disappointed. Not only was it beautifully decorated but our hosts had anticipated all of our needs. We arrived to a welcome basket of snacks and a lovely written and illustrated instruction book that left no questions unanswered. The big sectional couch was perfect for cuddling up under a cozy throw blanket to read by the fire or indulge in an afternoon nap. The beds were comfy, the towels soft and there were multiple options to brew the perfect cup of morning coffee. We went on a rainy walk to the lake, played games, completed a 500 piece puzzle and watched a Christmas Hallmark movie. Our only regret was that we were not staying longer!
