« From booking to check-out, it has been a wonderful experience and we didn't want to leave!We're the "city" type of people so we had pre-arrival jitters. Dan, the host/owner, gave good instructions for arrival, and boy, what a fantastic stay it was!!It's a beautifully refurbished 1500's house (see the plaque at the house) with wifi, mains electric, heating, hot water, showers/toilets, modern cooker and under counter fridge.Want to reconnect to Mother Nature? « We had a wonderful stay. The hosts were very accommodating and showed us through the house upon arrival. The location was amazing within walking distance from all the major attractions. We spent lots of time up on top floor patio that looks out over the river and the foot bridge. We will definitely be back. »

« The cottage was in a perfect location for us. The town centre of Ruthin is within walking distance and there are many interesting destinations a short drive away. The cottage was clean and all the essentials were provided. The bedding and towels were of good quality and the bed was very comfortable. There is secure off-road parking and the garden is fenced around. There is a tall step between the back door and the gravelled garden, but Ruthin is hilly so this should not be a surprise! »

« The property was very well presented, equipped and comfortable, although the bed in the eaves may be a challenge for some!It was great to be able to see (and travel on) the trains. We were invited to view the signal box.The area is lovely, with lots to do nearby.We thoroughly enjoyed our stay - highly recommended. »

« Our stay was perfect. We were away for a romantic trip and the cottage was perfect for that. The cottage was beautiful and had everything you could possibly need for a romantic few days away, including two big bath towels each, never mind all the other little touches and the excellent welcome basket. We would highly recommend it to anyone and would love to come back someday. »

"Dear Hotel Manager, Upon arrival on a business trip, the receptionist did not inform me that my room had no air conditioning but was instead heated — in May. I was required to PAY AT CHECK-IN, which I usually never do, and only after payment was I able to see the room. To my surprise, it was extremely hot — 29°C inside. Reception said they couldn’t help and advised me to find another hotel myself at 8 PM. The assistant admitted other guests had complained, and the issue was known. That´s why they recquired payment at check-in only. IT IS FRAUD. After a tense exchange, I was refunded, with manager’s comment on invoice as “ wished to leave five minutes after seeing the room.".. This experience was disappointing and felt dishonest. I expect better transparency and service. "

"Hôtel très bien situé en centre ville, pratique à pied pour découvrir la ville. Chambre classique petite mais calme bien que située proche ascenseur. Pas de rangements donc attention si vous restez plus d’une nuit pas pratique du tout et équipements basiques et pas super confortable.Buffet pdj et bar très bien. "
