Great location, great space. Needs a little work here and there
Overall, we really enjoyed our stay. There were 8 of us, all adults, and it was wonderful to have a private bath in each bedroom. The pool area was a little smaller than expected but, we made it work. We were very pleased the heated pool was actually heated! We have had some frustrating experiences with heating a pool. The spa got nice and warm too. Lots of room for all of us to sit and converse, inside and out.
We had a few minor glitches but, after a couple calls to management, everything was taken care of in a timely manner. When we arrived, we couldn't get in due to low battery on the keypad, and, management was unable to do it remotely. You would think they would have checked that. Some of the operating instructions were not very clear, or non-existent but, when maintenance was there, he filled us in, otherwise, we would have had to make yet another phone call to management. Otherwise, we would have given it 5 stars.
Could use universal remotes for the 9 TVs. đ
It's a shame that the management company is horrible.
1. Garbage Disposal: Upon arrival, there was a stench coming from the kitchen sink. The garbage disposal was broken and there was a significant amount (approximately 2 cups) of OLD (possibly weeks old) food in the disposal. I had to scoop the disgusting debris out by hand (made me literally vomit), unclog the sink, buy a tool to manually turn the disposal, and clean the sink to make it bearable for our stay. Not sure why I had to pay a cleaning fee.
2. Pool & Spa Heating: I paid extra to have the spa heated for our stay. It was not. The water was cold and jets were not on every time we wanted to use the spa.
3. Downstairs Master Hot Water: The downstairs master bathroom did not have any hot water. Obviously, an extreme disappointment given the high end shower jets that we were looking forward to using when we chose the home.
4. Feces on Stairs: There was some sort of feces on the exterior spiral staircase when we arrived. Management company claimed wild animals are natural, however this does not explain what I or the previous occupant got for the cleaning fee.
5. Walls: The walls up the staircase and in the loft area were damaged when we arrived but were not in the photos we used from your site when we chose the property.
6. Bedroom/Bathroom Locks: A number of the bedroom and bathroom doors did not have working locks. We had to devise an "occupied" protocol. Management company claimed this was to protect the children. However, they only protected the children from disaster in some of the rooms.
7. The exterior patio fans are not operational.
8. Wi-Fi: Note sent to management companyâŠI am writing you this email while sitting downstairs instead of at the desk since the Wi-Fi does not extend upstairs at an operational level. They make routers that can cover a house this size and they are not that expensive. This was disappointing since the upstairs work desk in the master bedroom was one of the reasons I chose this house. Management company response was to blame the owners not paying for better internet service and/or neighborhood coverage issues (obviously ignoring the fact they router the management company installed had limited range, etc.)
9. Security: The front porch light was not operational, the balcony doors were not secured when we arrived, and there was an unannounced employee scampering around the property on the afternoon we arrived. The management company said they were checking to make sure the house was cleaned.
The time and hassle dealing with the mgmt co, took away from the stay
Arrived on 28th to have two master showers that had no hot water and the spa jacuzzi that we paid to have be heated was 85 degrees. Called in for service/work order on 28th. No one came until evening of the 30th. On the 31st, same issues with no hot water and pool cleaner reset settings into service mode. Pool cleaner eventually came back out and took it out of service. Still had issues with heating pool/spa and called/emailed throughout our stay and never heard the same explanation or solution twice. No one ever came back out again to the property to help us or follow up. No instructions in the house for the spa/pool.
After all of this, i requested that we get some of Heating expense money back that we paid. The answer was no. They referenced that "the heater was working because the pool was in the 80's; and then said that mgmt is not responsible for working equipment in the house. It was the the most outrageous answer.. There response to the no hot water is that i was not letting the water run long enough - "up to 20 minutes" .... and i said why are you just now telling me this? And who has a hot water system where this is ever acceptable?
Lastly, we left our Harry Potter wand at the house... notified them immediately, followed up the day after, and now today.... no answer and not even sure if anyone has taken the time to see if its in the house. "They are still having someone go inspect the property"
Bye bye wand.....
Registered for a day at the waterpark before our stay. Go to the membership center to pick up our passes and they don't have record or our registration or the passes ready.
So, no, i don't think it's too much to expect compensation if you dont have a working spa and a hot shower when you're spending a large sum for the week.
The house is just perfect, we find everything we were looking for. We stayed in the house for 5 days. The swimming pool, the bbq setting, the rooms, and the view were fabulous. Moreover, the property management was very helpful from the check-in until check-out and whenever we asked for something. 5 stars is not enough!
The home was beautiful. Had a few issues with the cable tv and wifi and the property managers were prompt to respond and the cable company came to replace the router. The wifi does not service the entire home, the upstairs bedrooms do not receive the wifi signal from downstairs. Also, the surround sound from the downstairs tv plays in all the speakers throughout the house (even the speakers upstairs outside of the bedrooms). This was in issue with the kids sleeping in the AM and the early risers trying to watch TV. When we called the property manager to ask if there is a setting to shut this off, they said no that this is the way the sound is wired. Overall the house is gorgeous but needs an extender for the router and the sound system fixed.
