« You have everything you need in this cabin. The only negative is the huge rock wall in the backyard. I understand there were issues with water washing away the beaches, but I was assuming there would some small beach area. There is no lake access here. The wind is strong and chilly coming off Lake Huron. »

« When you arrive the outside appearance is simple & tidy. Upon entering you find an over the top clean home. The quality of the cleanliness & very new carpet gives the whole place a clean & fresh appearance. Kitchen is adequate with all new appliances. But it is small, especially the frig. I would make sure to have a cooler for the porch to keep drinks in if you are bringing in much food or beverage. « We stayed here at the end of our 5 Great Lakes in 24 hour trip. It was exactly what we needed. The lake was perfect; the sitting area made it so easy to stay down there for the day. Lots of room! The cottage itself was perfect. Ample living space and the bedrooms were great for each of the 3 couples. Jim and Lori were fantastic hosts and very responsive leading up to the trip. Would absolutely recommend and return if we had the opportunity! »

« The house is in a perfect location one block from a beautiful public beach/park, a nice little coffee/sandwich shop across the street, and a couple spots to grab a drink in the evenings less than a couple of blocks away. The home was very clean upon arrival with great space for larger groups. Nice outdoor areas for a bonfire, or front+back decks to lounge. This is a perfect home for a family or group of friends! »

« This is a cute little cottage on Van Eaten lake in Oscoda, MI. We had a late check-in and the process was easy. Thank you Joy and Jim for making our trip a great experience and very welcoming. They have everything you need and then some. It was very quiet and relaxing and lots to do in the area. We spent a lot of our time fishing at Lake Huron on the pier in Tawas and also fishing at Foote Dam. So many other places to go. We really enjoyed our stay. Thank you again! »
