« If you like bird watching and going for a walk in a pristine nature, then it is probably the best place within a short distance from Entebbe airport. The easiest way to get to Buvi Lodge is by boat from Entebbe. Ask the hotel to send a boat to pick you up at the harbour, where the ferry goes to Nakiwogo. The resort is very isolated, but you do not have to worry about being ripped for money in the restaurant. I paid 10 US$ for a big pepper steak with fries and a pint of beer. The food is tasty...

« We had meetings in nearby Lugazi and originally planned to stay in the town. However, when the option of staying in the nearby rainforest came up, I decided the cool of the forest and its quietness were a far better option. »

« Vom Manager bis zum Reinigungspersonal sind alle sehr freundlich und bemüht, dem Gast den bestmöglichsten Aufenthalt zu ermöglichen. Sehr gute Küche, Zimmer sehr sauber. Viele Aktivitäten werden angeboten. Sogar ein Frühstück im Busch wurde uns ermöglicht. SEHR kinderfreundliche Lodge( unsere Jungs sind 5+7 und sehr aufgeweckt) Vielleocht die beste Unterkunft in der wir je waren, kann man nur weiterempfehlen!!!! »

« I am really, really tired of hotels claiming that they have ‘free wifi’ (I stay in hotels >300 nights per year). This hotel had only intermittent electricity (so no power to the small fan in the room at night). In 48 hour stay perhaps 2 hours of connectivity. I encourage Hotels.com to add a third category “wifi MAY be available” »

« My stay at Gorilla Valley Lodge was wonderful. The staff was incredibly kind and accommodating, and the gardens and properties are beautiful with views overlooking the forest (including the mountain where we did our gorilla trek!). The restaurant area sits atop a hill overlooking a valley with 360 views of the mountains and scenery. The entire property is very peaceful and the restaurant served a three-course meal every evening. The rooms were clean with little welcoming touches when we arrived....
