Over all, a pleasant stay

Over all the stay was good and the Bristol House is in a fantastic location within Paignton with everything in walking distance. I have no real bad feed back about the stay, however maybe the house could do with a bit of a lick of paint in the room and freshen it up, I think it would have such a greater impact on customers staying there if it was spruced up a little bit. Overall the room was clean which is always good. Breakfast was fantastic and very tasty.

The shared toilet and shower room where further away than i thought they would be and toilet was very small. The pillows were flat and mattress uncomfortable. On the positive side i should have paid to have an ensuite bedroom and the hosts were very nice and the breakfast was great

The Bristol

I’m afraid to say we checked out of the Bristol after only 1 night,this was due to the terrible state of the room.It smelt terribly of damp the paper was peeling off the walls also there were punch holes,the ceiling had damp and damage on it,also the carpets were dirty and the sink was cracked across the base.It left me and my wife having sore throats.The dining area was also in a similar state with damp on ceiling,grubby carpets,and generally not clean.The breakfast itself was good but tea and coffee was only Luke warm.The landlord was friendly and welcoming but not enough to warrant staying the 2 nights we were booked in

It was ok for the price and location. In desperate need of modernising and a good spring clean - not just the surface clean its been subjected too. Breakfast was large, there were a few bits undercooked but some might like it like that.

There for one night! Basic, smelly, shabby decor and furnishings, suppose you do get what you pay for. If we hadn’t have paid in advance we wouldn’t have stayed. Sorry to leave such s bad review but abit of wall paper paste, plastering, disinfectant, air fresheners and a dustpan and brush for the front wouldn’t break the bank. Oh And new mattresses with fresh new bedding.

For what you paying price wise, this is excellent value for money (don't expect 5 star, you are not paying 5 star prices). I stay yearly and have never had a problem. Friendly & welcoming host (Leon). Basic, warm, comfortable, clean & quiet rooms. (I've never tried the breakfast, I've always agreed with the host that I'd prefer to have a late departure from my room). Very central with easy access to all local amenities. Would defiantly recommend 👍

This is the first place I look for on hotels.com.Hosts Leon and Nancy make you feel most welcome it's like home from home.Lovely breakfast in morning before I start out to carry on my courier work.

Very good priced accommodation.

A very restful time at the hotel. The staff were excellent and very hospitable. It was warm enough and the room was clean and comfortable with good curtains and decor. The shower and toilet were also excellent.

Perfect weekend

Perfect little guest house, child friendly. Really nice staff and you get a lovely breakfast ☺. Affordable, clean and comfy.
