Four of us were there for a 3 day stay. Check in on Thurs. was 5:00 pm., which is later than we have ever experienced. While driving down, we were contacted by Royal Destinations and told to “disregard” the fountain being worked on and the main ice maker was broken. They failed to inform us the adjacent property was under construction! We asked about heating the pool and after discussion about the fee (330 for exactly 65 hours), we asked if we could get it turned on that afternoon. The team member said they would send someone over to do that but it was not done until the next day. We arrived to a court yard with maintenance being done on the fountain and dead plants in every planter. After having trouble with the elevator to get the luggage to the third floor, we were told by the maintenance man that it was “finicky,” so we were not comfortable using it. The windows in the main room had not been cleaned and the floors were sticky. We reported that, and they sent maid service to correct that the next day. One of the garage doors had to be serviced as well as the lock at the main entry door. The house was very nice, but we felt the management team, which had sent a plethora of texts before the visit, should spend more time making sure this expensive property is properly prepared for guests. For a very short visit, we had four maintenance visits. We will definitely avoid renting from Royal Destinations in the future.
