Mold in the bathroom, holes in the wall from a fixture that had been torn off; broken cabinet; scuffs & marks on the walls throughout, dirty marked up floors, as well as a giant bubble in front of the bedroom door. There was maintenance on the balcony for 75% of the stay, disrupting the view. They reached out after booking to let me know, but it was non refundable, and they never offered the option to cancel. After reaching out for the mold they had a maintenance person come by & paint over some of it and then ignored the rest. The cleaners came by for about 15 minutes and did not actually clean the mold. After that they offered to have the shower recaulked, which meant I couldn’t shower for 24 hours. They expected me to not shower, and I had to demand access to a shower. They did not take the mold seriously at all, and that was extremely frustrating. They showed little concern for all the issues in the unit and very much seems like they would do the bare minimum just to say they technically did something. After the initial disappointment of the less than acceptable cleanliness, fake-nice customer service, and multiple half-assed attempts to fix the issues, I just gave up and stopped contacting them, because it was clear they did not care about hospitality or my experience there. To top it off, they programmed the door to lock early upon check out, & did not respond for over an hour. The emerald is nice, but they ruined the experience. Book elsewhere.
