If you love animals, this is a fun spot. Cats, ducks, and chickens visit you at your door every day. The sound of tree frogs will put you to sleep every night, and rooster crows to wake up to every morning. There are also 2 cows that are just a short walk down the hill and past the campgrounds also located on the farm.
The location of the tiny house is to the side of the owner’s house, with a privacy fence to the side of the tiny house. Directly in front of both houses is a deck with 2 chairs that is positioned so you can watch the sun rise over the ocean.
The house itself we were a little surprised to find that the front of the house had 2 entrances, one for the bedroom and one for the kitchen and bathroom, meaning that you must go outside to go between the two. The bedroom is really sealed off from bugs but the kitchen and bathroom ceiling had gaps and holes to the outside, as well as gaps at the top of the screen door. We didn’t notice any mosquitoes come in but there were moths and geckos that frequented the kitchen. We were bitten a few times by the very small fire ants, at no fault of the Vrbo hosts, just something to be aware of. The water heat in the shower comes and goes which wasn’t fun.
The waterfall is not on the property, it is a few streets away, and the hosts talked with us and told us how to get there. It was pretty cool, but be very careful as it is a difficult trek. The hosts were very nice and helpful.
Overall we were happy with our stay
