« Simply the best first night in a foreign country experience we've ever had. Jayne and Le Roux are the perfect people to work in hospitality and the attention to detail was unbelievably outstanding. The whole property is absolutely amazing and it's far more than just a hotel - the experiences offered from the meals to the wine tasting to the runner duck watching (has to be seen to be believed) are fantastic and they set the bar for the rest of our time in South Africa very high indeed. »

« Absolutely stunning place to stay. Our bedroom view was of the whole of Gordon’s bay. Superbly comfortable bed, great water pressure in the shower. Breakfast was a feast with perfectly poached eggs, sides, avocado, croissants, etc! Ate way too much!!! Add to that just how wonderfully welcoming and attentive our hosts were. More than that, they also gave excellent advice on our planned excursions. They love this area and want you to love it too! We’d stay here again in a heartbeat. »

« Cet hôtel était vraiment superbe, pour les adultes comme pour les enfants (superbes jeux extérieurs en bois, grand salon intérieur leur étant réservé avec une personne veillant sur eux et leur proposant différentes activités). Idéalement situé à l'écart de l'agitation de Cape town (30 km), au milieu des vignes, dans un quartier très calme; il était également charmant (petites unités d'un étage cernées d'espaces verts soignés). Le personnel est souriant et soucieux du respect de la tranquillité...

« We couldn’t operate the guest stove, no instructions were give on arrival. Secondly we needed to call the owner to show us how to operate the TV including WiFi connection. »

« Basic accommodations, didnt look like the photos. Less of a hotel bit like staying in someone house. Mold around shower and ok room for a quick overnight stay. 20 min walk to restaurants though. Bed comfy. »

« We had a lovely stay at Acara. The host was a joy to converse with and very accommodating. The location was excellent and made it easy to visit many vineyards, beaches, and shopping in the surrounding area. The views of the mountains, vineyards, and horses from our cottage were also a highlight. We look forward to visiting again! »
