« This hotel/inn is probably one of the nicest in the world and stands above all others that we visited on our 12 day road trip through Scotland and England in August 2019. From the reception to the nice and communicative bar atmosphere to the silky linen, the jacuzzi (that worked) and the extraordinary breakfast (eggs Benedict), we felt transported onto a new level of comfort. « Absolutly gorgous hut, really quaint and quirky. Perfect bit of outdoor space with decking and grass for our dog. Lovely size hot tub and comfy bed. Stunning views and perfect location for nice long walks. Local pub does beautiful food on a evening. Only issue is that there could be a sign somewhere to advise where to turn off to get to the huts as we found it difficult to find. We had a lovely, relaxibg few days, we would love to return. »

« Radiators in the room must have been for decoration, there was no heating on a freezing cold night, owners must have known this because on arrival we were handed a tiny fan heater, which made little difference in a big room. Toilet wasnt clean, bathroom light didnt work initially, towels weren't provided until I went to reception and asked for them, bed was uncomfortable. Genuinely glad I didn't pay a huge amount for the room because it is one of the worst stays I've had. Only 2 stars instead of...

« Excellent place to stay.Good location for exploring the area. Local walks Hadrians wall etc.We stayed in the Hadrian suite.Very spacious with nice roll top bath.We ate in the bar on burger night. Again Excellent.Staff were friendly especially the breakfast lady.Full of smiles in the morning. Would definitely stay again »
