346 Suite Merri Rooftop is carved out of what once must have been attic space in this typical Parisian apartment. The neighborhood is great with a cool vibe and everything one could want in a collection of unique restaurants. Two minutes to Line 1 and just five minutes to Les Halles and many train connections.
The apartment has a lot of floorspace, but much of it is under low and sloping roofs. Kitchen and seating areas are big and open with high ceilings. Beds are bit odd in configuration; great for families or familiar groups. Not a lot of privacy. Everything is clean and very nicely appointed.
The two rooftop spaces (one just 1m^2) are really cool. The big one has a table and chairs and serves as the perfect setting for aperitif and hors d'oeuvres before strolling to a restaurant.
No review would be complete without mentioning the steps. There are 100 of them (or 101, 102, depending on how you count). Our party is active and healthy, but we'd all start to feel the burn about half way up. Never a problem, but go in aware that those rooftop views are earned!
I'd stay again. This neighborhood and Rue de Rosiers to the east (also arr. 1) are my favorites in Paris.
Bon voyage
