Our check in process was frustrating because we were given very vague instructions and had to call the property management company. The apartment was on the 6th floor and the elevator wasn't working, so we had to lug all of our bags up the stairs.
The apartment looked cute when we arrived and was well appointed with towels and toilet paper, etc. It was quiet and the shades blocked out the light well, so we slept well. The showers were also very nice. The neighborhood was fine, close enough to places we wanted to go and had nearby cafes and stores.
We were really counting on doing laundry as we had already been traveling for a week and were low on clean clothes, but again, the directions for the washer/dryer were very vague. I tried to figure it out and experimented with different cycles, but it just didn't work well- it seemed to take forever to dry the clothes and they didn't smell good.
All of the above I could've dealt with no problem, but the final straw for me is that the bed where my children were sleeping clearly had bed bugs! We noticed them toward the end of our stay and my children had bite marks on them. Then to top it all off, we were told check out was at 11 am. At 10:30 am when we were packing up to leave, a man rang the bell, (I guess he was there to clean) and asked if we were done yet. We said no and he waited outside the door, when we finally came out, he was pretty rude to to us. And the elevator was broken again, so we had to lug our bags
