We absolutely loved our visit. We stayed in the Parisian room, and while on the smaller side, it was perfect as we didn’t plan on spending a lot of time in the room. Expedia categorized the room as a king and the hotel website said queen. The bed was maybe a few inches shy of an American king but still a large bed and firm but very comfortable. No complaints and my husband is very picky when it comes to king beds.
The breakfast was wonderful. This was February so the courtyard was not open but you could have breakfast either in the salon or the atrium. For €22 you get the full breakfast The coffee is excellent and about the only place in Paris that serves a large cup. You receive your own pot of coffee and a container of steamed milk, as well as a glass of fresh orange juice. A towering basket of breads and croissants as well as the best jam in he world. You can have your choice of eggs, ham and cheese plate, as well as cereals. It’s a wonderful way to start your days in Paris. They have a €8.50 option for coffee and breads which is worth it just to start your day in that beautiful setting.
All of the employees were exceptional. Friendly, accommodating and English speaking. I saw some reviews that said the property needed updating. I would say the the pictures are accurate representations of the condition of the hotel. While not new, it is charming and if it underwent a renovation, it would not be the price that it is now.
This property is truly a hidden gem.
