Hôtel extrêmement élégant au cœur de Saint Germain des Prés. Discret et exclusif. Chambre parfaitement équipée et décorée avec goût. En revanche le petit déjeuner mériterait un surcroît d’attention. Une très belle adresse.

Comfortable and beautifully furnished public spaces. The courtyard garden cafe was delightful. The staff were very helpful and attentive too. Our guest room was small, which is typical of Paris. There were two of us, but there was no good place to store a 2nd suitcase. But we made it work. The bathroom had a soaking tub, a nice perk. But it was narrow and deep and slippery. There were no grab bars, so it was nearly impossible to get out of it. My husband had to help pull me up. A grab bar would be very helpful, plus enhance safety.

This is a gorgeous old hotel in a beautiful part of Paris. It is close to dining, shopping, Luxembourg Gardens, st Sulpice and so much more. It is quintessentially French in its style and it’s approach. The breakfast was delicious and so fresh, from freshly squeezed juices to fresh fruit salad. The interior of the rooms is a little tired, but this can be overlooked in favour of the location of this delightful hotel. The staff in the bar and breakfast area were unbelievably helpful, and so kind. We loved the garden, and the quiet stillness of the hotel within such a dynamic city.

Not worth the money.
The bed was old and caved in and uncomfortable. Our room didn’t look nice like on the website. We had a small window, not a normal sized one and a poor view. The breakfast outdoor terrace was nice and so was the salon room in the lobby. But for the price they charge, I expected a more updated room, bathroom and bed and larger room. They never asked how our stay was when we checked out.

Charming and welcoming hotel in the heart of Paris
This is our second time staying at Hotel de L’Abbaye and once again it was a magical experience. The staff are wonderful and the property it self is elegant and relaxing despite being an older property. We love the ease of access to Saint Germain neighborhood and surrounding sites, museums, parks, and restaurants. This time we were visiting at the front end of our trip as we were getting married in the South of France. The staff wrote us a welcome note and left a bottle of champagne in a room, a nice touch after a long journey. We spent less time in the dining area this time but we still enjoy their breakfast and cocktail hour. The rooms a bit small but very charming and the laundry service is very good. Highly recommend

We booked this hotel because of the good ratings it had and did not disappoint. The staff was amazing and extremely helpful with all our concerns. The room although very small was very nice decorated. The bathroom and the room was impeccably clean. The area is also excellent, with walking distance from all the restaurants and shopping. We truly enjoyed our stay.

I had stayed at this hotel 22 years before and had such fond memories I always dreamt of returning. Unfortunately this time the room was awful. When we arrived super jet lagged I dutifully followed the hotel staff to a ground floor room. It took awhile to realize that it was beside the public toilet for the restaurant (used by hotel guests mostly) and the hallway outside of our room had from time to time during the day a very bad odor. I wanted to change the room but my husband did not want to endure the stress. We had made the reservation about six months before so I wonder why we were blessed with what surely must be the worst room in the hotel. It was so unpleasant that I could never stay there again. So sad.

The hotel was quaint and charming-one of it's kind. The atmosphere was authentic. The hotel is very well appointed with a lot of private nooks and areas. Classic and elegant small boutique hotel. Teh room was very cute and tastefully decorated. On my next trip to Paris, I will definietly stay at Hotel de l'Abbeye Saint Germain. We had an Amazing experience.

Wonderful retreat in Paris
I have stayed in more tan 10 hotels in Paris, trying them all is "my thing" and I adored this charming hotel with its cozy spaces, spacious rooms and the lovely garden and atrium room. So well located in a clam neighborhood with great access to restaurants, Boulanegerie and cafes. I would absolutely stay here again.

We absolutely loved our visit. We stayed in the Parisian room, and while on the smaller side, it was perfect as we didn’t plan on spending a lot of time in the room. Expedia categorized the room as a king and the hotel website said queen. The bed was maybe a few inches shy of an American king but still a large bed and firm but very comfortable. No complaints and my husband is very picky when it comes to king beds. The breakfast was wonderful. This was February so the courtyard was not open but you could have breakfast either in the salon or the atrium. For €22 you get the full breakfast The coffee is excellent and about the only place in Paris that serves a large cup. You receive your own pot of coffee and a container of steamed milk, as well as a glass of fresh orange juice. A towering basket of breads and croissants as well as the best jam in he world. You can have your choice of eggs, ham and cheese plate, as well as cereals. It’s a wonderful way to start your days in Paris. They have a €8.50 option for coffee and breads which is worth it just to start your day in that beautiful setting. All of the employees were exceptional. Friendly, accommodating and English speaking. I saw some reviews that said the property needed updating. I would say the the pictures are accurate representations of the condition of the hotel. While not new, it is charming and if it underwent a renovation, it would not be the price that it is now. This property is truly a hidden gem.

C'est calme, pratique pour le transport et l'environnement est très bon. Le personnel de l'hôtel est composé de messieurs gentils et amicaux. La chambre était bien équipée et très confortable. Je suis parti hier et je suis actuellement dans un hôtel près de l'Opéra, mais maintenant je veux retourner à l'Hôtel de L'Abbaye Saint Germain. C'était un endroit confortable qui m'a fait me sentir chez moi. Merci pour tous vos services. Merci beaucoup. Aussi, je voudrais rester en août.
