Dear Susan, I am so sorry that you smelled an odor while visiting our home. We have never experienced this before or since your visit and have not had any other renters mention anything of the sort either. When our cleaning lady arrived immediately after your departure, she did not smell anything. We have since had the house checked for mold and levels are normal. We take great pride in providing a pristinely clean home for our guests to enjoy and once again, we are so sorry that this was your experience. Megan

Dear Michael, We're so glad you were able to enjoy quality family time! The house phone is available for free local and long distance phone calls. Most messaging apps work when connected to our WiFi, and we are noticing that cell phone service is beginning to get better at the house, depending on your carrier. Of course for some folks, this is disappointing news, as many of us enjoy the opportunity to be "unplugged" when visiting Walker Creek Crossing. Thank you for taking the time to make a review regarding your family's stay at Walker Creek Crossing. When you booked, we let you know that longterm rentals were not our norm and that the internet was the best we could possibly offer in the area - satellite. We added as much data as we could, paying for additional data multiple times throughout your stay. We offered for our regular cleaning crew to assist your family with your stay, but you ensured us you were tidy and that that would be unnecessary. Instead, upon check-out, we found trash strewn about the house, holes in the walls and doors, carpets damaged, leather furniture ruined, and many other instances of permanent property damage that have had to be fixed before we can welcome future renters. The back deck that does not have a lock is over 20 feet from the ground and has never been an issue for previous renters (or intruders!). The front door lock being digital has worked beautifully for every renter before your family and we'll hope that was an isolated incident or work to remedy the problem. Thank you for letting us know about the weeds in the horseshoe pit - we'll be sure to get that cleaned up for future guests' enjoyment. All the best to you and your family. Megan

We work hard to keep our home very nice and up to par, and are very sorry you did not find it up to your standards. We were unaware of those needed repairs until you told us. I appreciate you letting us know and we will get right on repairing them and were not aware you wanted/expected us to come down and fix it while you were there. We typically try not to disrupt guests visits unless specifically asked to come out for something. . We hope you will come visit us again.
