I rented this home for my sister’s bachelorette party and was fully transparent with the host about our plans: 9 women, including a breastfeeding mother, visiting during Arizona’s off season. We expected heat, but not a completely unlivable home due to a broken AC unit.When we arrived, the AC was off and never cooled once turned on. We reached out multiple times through the VRBO app and were repeatedly brushed off. It wasn’t until someone from their team visited and confirmed it was broken that they sent an emergency HVAC tech but even after the repair attempt, it still didn’t work. We spent the entire trip sweating through 115 temps, unable to sleep or relax.To survive, we had to buy our own fans. On top of that, the house clearly hadn’t been professionally cleaned. There were dead bugs throughout, and we were eaten alive at night each of us left with 10 bites.We spoke to someone from their team who said they’d work toward a resolution. When we called back, they never answered or returned our voicemails. We were ghosted.This was a deeply unprofessional and disappointing experience. A trip we were so excited for turned into a miserable, sweltering ordeal. Unless you’re willing to pay premium prices for a home with no AC, bugs, and zero support, do not book this property.
