Our unit was very affordable and surprising quiet for its main street location. Staff were helpful. Liked the multiple clothes hooks on the back of the doors - makes it so easy to keep tidy. Liked the environmentally friendly refillable shampoo/conditioner/handwash containers. Would definitely stay again.

This was a terrific motel, convenient to both the train and ferry. It was a charming motel with thoughtful amenities and lodging details that appeal to the traveler. This was a superb lodging stay.

We had a most wonderful sleep, despite the storm howling over our heads! Friendly and helpful reception, comfortable accommodations in every way. We would certainly recommend staying there.

We got room 3 so small that is was not enough space even for a suitcase. Industrial noise after 5am. Uncomfortable place to stay in Picton.

Thank you for your review, the size of the unit is on the booking company you went with and the noise is they are building new bridge and we are right in town with people delivering, trains, ferrys and boats, and people leaving going on ferrys .Kind regards.

The place itself is ok and clean but a bit dated , bathroom is too small and not practical for us. The host is nice and well greeted. Location is good next to supermarket and coffee shop. A few restaurants nearby

Classic motel with attention to details and amenities. We appreciated the friendliness of the hosts and their recommendations for the area. Our room was spacious and we has an outdoor space and privacy. The kitchenette was well stocked for simple meals and there was milk in the fridge.A grocery store is next door. The motel well located for restaurants and shops and a quick walk from the port. We definitely recommend.

As the property is from 1960s, there were a few quirks such as position of light switches, no double glazing/air conditioning. The staff were friendly and helpful, sharing local tips to help us during our stay. Well located for the restaurants and cafes in the area, as well as the ferry port and train station.

The couple that run High Street Living are very friendly, attentive and helpful. The location is perfect, with a very short walk to eating, shopping and the ocean. The rooms are spotless, the wifi is solid, and if you book the largest suite it has a courtyard in the back that is yours. With it's kitchen, this place makes for a perfect stay.

Close to everything we required and the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Had our own outside seating area which was a bonus. The unit provided everything we could possibly need except a washing machine but the laundromat was only 50m up the road.

Seriously if I ran a motel this is how I would do it. The property is filled with extra touches - from the lovely personal welcome from the owner to the Christmas decorations to the friendly dog ready for attention (but if you are not interested she will stay away) to the lovely welcome album about places to eat (with discounts). The kitchenette is filled with everything you might need. The bedroom and bathroom are fully equipped. LOVED IT.

Loveliest happiest hosts! Sooooo convenient. I always stay here. Supermarket literally next door! Cafe open at around 7am a block away. Restaurants Ann’s takeaways across the road
