« I made this booking at the very last minute. The room was lovely and is ideal for accessing Skyline Drive and the Blue Ridge Parkway as well as the wineries in Nelson County. Bed was comfy, bathroom good, and had a microwave and fridge. There is no on site staff, which would not have been a problem except I booked very very last minute. Contacted the hotel via hotels.com and email to get my room code. That process took 2 hours or so which was reasonable. Only issues during the stay were that...

« The Virginia Guesthouse is a new hotel and conference center, right next to the University of Virginia. The staff were very friendly and helpful! Including providing a late checkout at 12 instead of 11, and holding our bags in their luggage check while we were still in town for the afternoon after checkout. « Unique and fun property with a 1960's design - both exterior and interior. It even included a 1960's pink princess telephone. But the motel had the comforts of 2026 with a jumbo size TV, comfortable bed and pillows and large bathroom. Each room had a record player with records. I was excited to spin some 33's but both the record player in my room and a second I secured from the lobby were broken. The staff said they were not familiar with how they worked and could not offer any assistance....
