Séjour en couple de deux nuits, petit soucis pour le Check in un peu tardif mais l’hôtel a su nous proposer une solution. Hôtel très récent, ménage fait tous les jours avec des passages supplémentaires pour assurer les services d’un 4 étoiles. Les chambres sont spacieuses et agréables, Nespresso à disposition. Hôtel calme, idéal pour se relaxer au bord de la piscine ou de la mer. Le personnel est vraiment au petit soin, Jorge s’est agréablement occupé de nous, et Alexandre (français) aussi. Petite attention présente dans notre chambre suite à l’annonce de ma grossesse. Le petit déjeuner est vraiment très bien, un choix assez varié seul petit bémol pour nous les jus ne sont pas frais (bouteille) Je recommande cet hôtel les yeux fermés

The property is stunning, the room we stayed in was glorious, the staff were all kind, helpful and thoughtful. The food is not good and will agree with other people who say it is also very overpriced, due to the quality and the reason for 4 stars (food 1, everything else 5). There are night clubs nearby and even though it's not in the heart of Playa and it was very, very loud until they closed down. Would still highly recommend for the property itself - location out of the busy areas, beautiful rooms, gorgeous property, beach front, lovely rooftop and the great people who work here.

Great quality hotel rooms, nice ocean view, walkable distant to the beach. Food options good but could be better as it was a bit expensive for the quality of the food. We ended up eating out for lunch and dinner for all 4 days. Having a rental car helped us to go out and explore, otherwise, it was a bit out from the main road. We wanted a quiet and private time together so the place offered that.

Fantastic hotel
We stayed just one night on the way to a festival at the Hard Rock and we’ll stay one more night on the other end of our trip. Wish we had a whole week here, and we’ll definitely be back. Beautiful accommodations, wonderful staff, and amazingly comfortable and spacious room with a gorgeous view. The food at the rooftop restaurant was fantastic.

We would definitely stay here again.
A beautiful and VERY clean hotel. The shuttle driver from Cancun Shuttle had a difficult time finding it when we were dropped off as it was late at night. We were greeted by the professional and friendly Fernanda. During our stay, Fernanda made sure we were having and exceptional time at the hotel and even offered to have the restaurants make special meals for my girlfriend who has multiple food allergies. Julio was also very helpful with our stay and very friendly. The beach is perfect for lounging. Multiple chairs are set up along the beach with drink service. There are swimming beaches on both adjacent properties as the beach in front of the hotel has coral reef very close to shore. The rooftop restaurant has a beautiful view with an infinity pool. Taxis will be needed to get into Playa Del Carmen (10 minutes). The rooms were very spacious, modern and exceptionally clean. I do think I'd opt to get and ocean front room next time though (no specific reason, the room we had was excellent). The TVs were Roku so we could Netflix and chill and night. This beautiful hotel is definitely a great place to stay if you want a quiet and relaxing stay with out the hustle and bustle of Playa Del Carmen. No harassment from sales people, no booming bass music to be heard, awesome staff, and relaxing environment made the Mvngata Hotel a place we'd definitely stay again.

Gorgeous hotel on the beach
Beautiful hotel, friendly staff, on site restaurants are absolutely delicious. There were just a few things that I think they can improve on, one, beach towels are more like a yoga blanket, and you can’t swap them out at the beach/pool like at other hotels. Two, you cannot swim at the beach right in front of the hotel cause there are rocks and sea urchins- this should be more prominent when booking. Lastly the check in process is way too extensive and too much information is given at the same time, I would suggest that they invest in an app or put more info on their website so guests don’t have to sit through almost an hour of going over rules, a tour, etc and can explore on their own.

This was our first time in Mexico and we were looking for a lounging, beach experience. What we weren’t looking for was something I’ve seen depicted, or that I’ve heard about: the overstuffed “Sandals” type resort with all-inclusive cheap alcohol and boring food. We didn’t want it to feel like a time share we were visiting, or we were getting a cliche American experience in Mexico. What Mvngata does well, it excels at. It is a small, boutique oasis with only 20 total rooms. A very sought after restaurant and environment, many people from other resorts will back the bottom floor with a day pass so they can get away from the bustle of their own resort. But as someone staying at the hotel, you get premium access to everything they have to offer. We were picked up at the airport with ease in a private SUV (35 minute drive that we enjoyed round trip). Our room was enormous with an ocean view, crisp and cool with the A/C along with a stocked mini bar and hammock on the balcony. Breakfast and lunch were absolutely delicious and the food was Mexican cuisine, but with high end flair. Beach access is wonderful, though to swim in the ocean you have to walk five minutes north or south to more sandy areas (a non issue). But having said that, I would recommend the rooftop - my wife and I lounged by the pool for the extent of our visit as it looks out on the water. Adan was very helpful at the restaurant, and Roberto helped schedule a private beach dinner for me and my wife!

Small but cozy hotel, friendly and helpful staff. The food is amazing , price is fair according to the area , roof top pool and dinning area is gorgeous. The only down side is the beach in front of hotel is not accessible due to too many reefs.

Beautiful little new boutique hotel just outside of Playa. Rooms are very nicely appointed and very large. Rooftop pool and restaurant were wonderful, food was always delicious, fresh. We neeeded a last-minute place for two nights, and we randomly chose this place…and we are so glad we did. Would highly recommend.

Me pareció que lo que ofrecen es poco en relación con lo que cobran. El hotel es muy caro, las albercas poco aptas para hacer ejercicio, la playa fatal, los vigilantes ponían dificultades para dejar pasar a la persona que nos recogía, al bajar del auto nos encaraban diciendo que esa persona tenía que salir de inmediato, en una palabra nos sentíamos agredidos. No sé qué les pasa.

Pros and cons. Recent stay
Kin was nice and helpful. Staff at rooftop restaurant seemed annoyed and inconvenienced. Didn’t bring basics unless asked just stood around gossiping. It was uncomfortable. Beautiful shower but water smelled like bleach! ESP the sink. Stayed on your skin for hours. Ended up using bottled water in the room to wash hands& brush teeth. Room does fog up and gets wet everywhere. Floors become slippery. Some positives-the room was big & looked nice. The view was just incredible (pitch black at night though)- we also got to see monkeys from our balcony which was super cool. They mentioned animals may approach. We were good with that. if it wasn’t for how bad the water smelled I probably wouldn’t even leave a review but my fiancé and I both felt that was something to share.

We spent our last night in Mexico at the Mvngata Beach Club before an early afternoon flight home the next day - so didn’t really have time to enjoy all it has to offer - but everything is top notch , the room is stunning , the staff attentive , just wonderful all the way . Only minor downside is the beach in front of the hotel isn’t swimmable - too many rocks and urchins - It there is decent swimming just a few minutes along the beach Would love to stay again
