Very clean, close to activities, dining, solid structure. More spacious than staying in a hotel. Had 2 nights of thunderstorms with the last night having a tornado warning but we felt safe within the trailer. Only thing I might have missed was the smoking policy. Despite cards on the dining table stating No Smoking, we could definitely tell this had been smoked in previously over the years. As a previous smoker i get that itâs not easy to get the smell out. Anyhow, I would still give it a 4.5+
It was 6 of us Friday night and 5 of us Saturday night, and the rental made it easy for all of us. The beds and couches were very comfy, and the hang out outside the front door is great for groups of our size. Family room and kitchen table were top notch, as well. Overall, highly recommend!
This little place was perfect for our weekend getaway. We had a wedding to attend and it was right down the road. We will definitely rent again! Thank you!
I was a bit worried about the noise from bar next door, but once inside the home, I didn't hear it. There is a train nearby, that woke me a couple times, but the bed was comfy, so it was easy to get back to sleep. The home is old, like from 1970s, and a little stuffy, but a little air freshener took care of the slight odor, and the home was clean and tidy, so the age didn't matter to us. Everything was comfortable. I would stay here again.
The house was perfect for what was requested. We were instructed there was a WiFi password and could not locate it at all which was really no big deal. Antenna T.V.
If we had planned on hibernating it would have been a disappointment. However it was just a place to sleep which was perfect for our group!
My husband and I stayed here for a long weekend in Ohio. The check in process was so easy (our first time using Vrbo). The location was centralized for our trip to Put-In-Bay and Cedar Point. The Overboard Bar in front of the residence had live music and super friendly staff. The residence was clean and spacious. We're already thinking of staying here again next year! Oh, and when our car needed a jump start on our departure, 2 very friendly gentlemen helped us out!
This place had everything you need for a stay. Everything was in good shape. Wifi worked well.
I would stay again. First impression is not great due to the smoke smell when you enter the door. But it is not overwhelming.
Appreciated the coffee and sugar. Refrigerator worked great.
The trailer was located immediately behind a loud bar. While it had been cleaned, it was very old and shabby. The presence of a baseball bat stored behind a chai by the front door summed up the feeling of the whole place. It reeked of cigarette smoke, despite a sign that indicated âNo Smokingâ. If it hadnât been a holiday weekend we would have moved out after one night.
The other reviews are accurate & our stay was fine overall. It had everything needed and though trailer was comically dated, was clean but the smoke stench was a real turn off for our group as non-smokers. it made feel like we didn't want to hangout there any more than absolutely needed. I guess since this was a no smoking/no pet listing and didn't see this issue in prior reviews was caught offguard. Seems like Kilz & new paint on walls, ceiling & cabinetry along with new flooring would remove the smoke, update the decor & allow to charge more. Otherwise, this place is a smoker's dream rental.
Pros: First, you canât beat the price of this rental. Location is great with a 3-5 min drive to downtown Port Clinton. Washer & dryer was nice to have. The owner was very quick to reply and helped to resolve some issues.
Cons: First impression upon walking inside was smoke odor. So if youâre sensitive to this I would look elsewhere unless owner has taken steps to remove odor. Cleanliness wasnât quite up to par which was surprising based off of previous great reviews, and we also found two bricks of mouse poison within childâs reach (one on the floor of bedroom and one in cabinet near pots & pans) that my 7 year old actually picked up. Owner is aware so hopefully this never happens again. Thereâs 2 window A/C units for the whole trailer and the one in the living room would kick off constantly if TV was on (which was rough in 90 degree weather, especially with an infant).
Overall, owner was prompt & courteous. Very close water access for fishers. But you basically get what you pay for. If you have toddlers or kids mobile on the floor this might not be the best place.
About 30 min from Cedar Point.
Much more accommodating than a hotel.
Had everything we needed. But no cable or wifi for those whose who do need it.
Had the most comfortable bed!
We enjoyed our stay.
Great location. Perfect for fisherman with many fishing access locations nearby. Right by Portage river access. Room for 3 boat rigs and trucks. Owner is great with communication.
