We stayed here as I couldn't get two weeks at our 4.5 star town resort that we usually stay in. So we stayed a week at Leisure Tourist Park, and 1 week at the other 4.5 star resort in town. To be honest we preferred this little two star Leisure Tourist park. Why? Its quieter, not a 100 people in the pool, no noise at nigh so slept lovely. The kids made friends easier, people were friendly and relaxed. The unit was old and a bit smelly at first, but it was layed out well and clean. I would stay here again

Property was clean, but kitchen needs updating, Microwave was in a dangerous position had to climb on chair to access my food, was afraid to lift food out while standing on floor in case food spilt over me. Cook stove needs to be updated. Bathroom clean; but also needs updating.

Hi and thank you for your feedback. We agree with you that some of the rooms are not modern, and we are hoping that guests prior to booking have an opportunity to see all the photos advertised so that there are no surprises when you arrive. We do believe the price is reflective of this as well. We appreciate you feedback regarding the microwave and we will look in to the option of seeing if we can put it on a bracket somewhere. The property it’s keep really nice. Kids have a blast. It’s not a big place so you are not pumping into people all the time. I will definitely be back for another great time.

I can’t say enough about the beds!! Beds can make or break a stay and I would love to say that these beds and pillows were probably even better than mine at home! Friendly pleasant staff, pool and grounds were great. The only little negative is it’s a little tired looking inside however the cleanliness certainly makes up for it. Would definitely stay again for sure.

The cabin was not what I booked 7 months prior and I was told there was not a cabin there with a queen, a double and a twin... we were 4 women average age 55 so bunks weren't ideal. Bathroom small. Left a day early.

Nice, specious cabin
We stayed in the holiday cabin which was nice and spacious with our three kids (2,5,7). We were a little surprised at registering when an additional cost was added for the kids, but that may just be a mistake in the booking. The pool is small but nice and lots of green grass to run around. We did get a feeling of the place being a little stingy, for example when we ask for addition toilet paper, we were told that should be our responsibility.

Thanks for your feedback. We're glad you enjoyed the spacious Holiday Units, pool & green surroundings. To help get started we supply guests the basics (trying to keep tariffs down) including linen (most neighboring Parks charge a fee for linen where as we don't). Regards Amanda

Enjoyed our stay, was a lovely spot . Was quiet, shady and well kept. Although we did find cockroaches in microwave and the oven wasn't clean, still had crumbs etc. Also shower head was not great. Was not enough pressure and spray went everywhere not concentrated

nice short getaway.
the unit we had for 3 adults was great, with a single bed, which is hard to find. [ and bunks] in 2nd bedroom for my 93 years young dad. the grounds were lovely with palms everywhere. very tropical. not far from settlement city and panthers also bowlo across the road. and aldi;s 2 min drive. although it was on the main road, it was very quite. i would stay here again.

Just right for our Canberra to Brisbane stopover...great rates, lovely staff...oh and if you read the review on Google by the person who didn't like the smell and the beds weren't made? Well, seems they grew up with servants as they're teenage kids were incapable of making one. Always two sides to a story. Anyhoo, the kids and I loved and we'll be back next time!

Nice affordable place to stay, close to everything
We had so much fun on our stay for the long weekend for australia day. Satisfied with the cabin we stayed. Kids had fun for hours in the swimming pool, lots of spaces to run around and nice small playground. We also had bbq night there. It close to shops, town centre and most important is the rooms, bathroom and kitchen are clean and the price was affordable for us. so happy with this place and surely will be back again.

Very smelly room / cabin
I booked for one night... We (me, my wife and 3kids) stopped in for sleep overnight. We were on our way from Queensland to Sydney. It was NOT worth it for $153. We got one of the very old smelly cabins. We should have slept in our car. First of all the smell. Our room smelled like wet old wood or urine. Awful. They asked me to cover the 3 beds for kids with the bed sheets by myself as they are not used to do such things for kids. The lady said kids always come with their sleeping bag !!!!! Should i ask for refund ???? I understand the place is very old but some updating would be nice.

Hi, Thanks for your feedback. After you mentioned the room smelling we went in and ran the air conditioning (staff didn't notice any smell, however, we cleaned the aircon filter in case that may have been the problem and will clean them more frequently). Gradually the Villa's and Units are being updated. We email guests ahead of arrival to inform them that linen is provide (free) but only the main beds are made, unfortunately the message was not received. Many caravan parks charge a linen charge and require you to make the beds, possibly that's why Parks are cheaper than Motels even though our rooms have a Kitchenette. For example a local caravan park is from $150 (2 adults & 3 children) PLUS a $10 linen charge - which means that you are handed the linen to make ALL the beds yourself! We are sorry you felt inconvenienced. Kind regards Management

Okay but nothing special
Several disappointing features: fridge was on lowest setting but still froze our food, the kitchen sink plug leaked so we had to keep refiling the sink, the kitchen tap dripped, the microwave was on top of the fridge making it impossible to use, and there was no micro wave cookware anyway.

We had a great time. Our standard cabin was well laid out and comfortable, and our 2 girls loved the waterpark and pool. Realy enjoyed our stay, and would definitely recommend the park as a place to stay

Staff at front desk were very welcoming. We had a family unit for our family of 5 & it had lots of space. Other people in park were friendly.
