We were disappointed by the inaccurate website descriptionâwe were looking for a quiet and romantic weekend away and when we arrived, the amenities for which we chose the property were not as described. We (and the property manager who was doing our check-in) were unable to get in touch with the host. We contacted VRBO immediately upon arrival and they were also not able to contact the host. We elected not to stay the whole time (VRBO instructed us to stay the first night while they gave the host a window to respond, which they did not). After two weeks of VRBO getting no response from the host, VRBO issued us a refund. The specifics of what was not as described:1 - The listing includes a âprivate poolâ and uses the word âsecludedâ to describe the pool. In reality, there is a second unit in the building that shares the pool. Their balcony looks directly into the pool. It is also located off the main road. Not private, not secluded. 2 - The listing included a hot tub. The property manager told us only hours before arrival that it was not working. We did see where it was located and even if it had been working, it did not have the views shown in the photos. The photos show beautiful mountain views from the hot tub, but instead it is tucked behind the house and the building itself blocks any view. Iâm basing my review on what was posted at the time (hopefully it will be corrected). Otherwise it was clean, though you can hear the upstairs family very clearly.
