They still do not have automatic front doors, and it is very difficult to enter with luggage or luggage cart.

Not impressed. Building nice, but neighborhood sketchy (homeless, seedy bars & hotels nearby). Staff nice enough when approached, but didn't even look up when you came through. Breakfast limited (only eggs were boiled eggs in sandwich bags; no bacon or sausage). Matress sagged in the middle (other guests said theirs were too.) Booked mini suite with a sink, fridge, and dinette seating: dining chair had mystery stains all over, fridge froze everything (on setting 1, 5, and 9), cabinets and drawers, but no dishes or utensils. Only cleaned rooms on 3rd day of stay so I wonder how often anyone stays long enough to actually get their room cleaned. Work station consited of an empty desk. Staff explained the computer and printer were removed because "someone stole our hard drive." probably won't be back or recommend to others.

the check in was pleasant, good vibes & she was very sweet. the room & everything was clean .. the only down side was that the heater did not want to turn on at all at all .. & it was softly blowing cold air … it was freeeezing .

The property was convenient for the night and mostly met our needs. The area did have some noise of people racing possibly doing doughnuts in the area. The bathroom needs major renovation since the faucet head was too low and it looked like mold was growing in certain areas of the shower.

I didn't like that the receptionist wanted to charge me almost 4 dollars to chnage my booking from a smoking to non smoking room because apparently i booked a smoking room. I disnt even know they still had a smoking room. The bathroom door is broken and the floor has stains. I will definitely not stay there anymore, the reception is terrible...no prople skils she looks mean and is mean!

They allow cats, which is huge for me. I attempted to stay at a motel 6 but between the cops there and that clerk telling me to come back in 10, I left & found Microtel. Service was outstanding at check-in & check-out, room was clean and comfy, and they easily accommodated an easy access room for this limited mobility body. Will stay there again.

I loved Microtel. It was clean and very quiet. The desk staff were nice and helpful and the breakfast was good. I was very impressed with how quiet it was.

It has been over a week and I still haven't had my $75 "incidentals deposit" returned. I left the room in perfect order after only staying one night. I do not smoke or anything like that and gave them ZERO reasons to keep my deposit. This is criminal.

Thank you for taking the time to share your concerns with us. I verified your account and we did drop the authorization for the deposit prior to your check out on November 22. The process of the authorization is we take the deposit upon check in, this is an authorization only, not a charge. When you check out if there isn't any damages, missing items, etc., we release the deposit. This means that the authorization disappears like it never happened. In the end, you should see no charge from Microtel Pueblo Southgate on your credit card. It's an auth and a drop. never a charge and refund. Please check again, you should see no transactions from the hotel directly. Thank you!

Almost perfect review
When we checked in on Saturday, the woman at the desk was very, very unfriendly. I was surprised as these are the folks greeting you. Other than that, our stay was great. Room was clean and comfy.

Room reeked of smoke
Be careful booking. They have smoking floor. We chose a standard queen room which did not indicate it was smoking or nonsmoking and were given a smoking room. When we asked for a nonsmoking room we were told that was all they had available and would not refund our money even though we did not stay and they were turning customers away.

We were turning people away because we were sold out on this particular day. I am sorry that you did not see that a smoking room was booked, that was the last room availability at that time.

Great service
Great hotel, it is a little dated, but very comfortable. The hotel could use a better maintenance crew, but they do well with limited skills. Staff is super friendly, they will help you with anything that you need.
