We traveled as a multi-generational family, and this beautiful home was the perfect place to gather and make special memories together. The views were absolutely stunning, and we loved the thoughtful layout that gave everyone space while keeping us connected.Every excursion was so much fun and the concierge, Christopher, was phenomenal to work with, helping us plan everything with ease! Alex and Jenny were truly a gift. They were always ready to help and prepared delicious meals that our whole family enjoyed. We are so grateful for their hospitality and left with full hearts and wonderful memories.

We had an amazing trip. It felt like a once in a lifetime vacation. The villa was beautiful and the view was breathtaking. Everything was very clean and Alex and Jenny were great! We took advantage of meals being prepared every day and it was so nice to sit around the table with the beautiful backdrop and wonderful food. All of us, ages 5 to 75 enjoyed the pool daily.

Our stay at Villa Amore was fabulous! The house was beautiful, the pool spectacular, and the view of the ocean divine. Laura was so easy to work with and answered all of my many questions in a very timely manner. The house was stocked with all the essentials that saved us when packing for our trip - soap, shampoo, lotion, beach towels, etc. The beds were very comfortable making for a great nights sleep after spending the day exploring. Alix and Jenny were great! They prepared delicious meals that we enjoyed on the outdoor patio dining area, with an ocean view, every day. The concierge service with Christopher and Brenda was so helpful. We could have never planned all the fun activities on our own. They were extra accommodating to us, as we have many changes to our itinerary along the way.I would definitely recommend this Villa to anyone traveling to Costa Rica. You won't be disappointed!

Villa Amore

This is a beautiful location and gorgeous home. Alex and Jenny as in home cooks and vacation friends are an amazing addition. 10 members of our family enjoyed this stay and the fabulous meals they prepared. The presentation....table cloth, cloth napkins was so lovely. The view is incredible and the kids (and adults) had so much fun in the pool. Alex was very helpful getting us booked with an inshore fishing trip and surf lessons. His recommendations helped make this part of our trip memorable. Great location close to two beautiful beaches Playa Carrillo and Samara. We saw whales, monkeys and birds from the balcony. Definitely a piece of paradise. Laura is easy to communicate with while you are working on the booking process and beyond!! We had a great experience there and honestly, we didn't want to leave.

Family Vacay 2025

The villa is so much nicer than the photos. The table outside the kitchen on the patio was our favorite place in the villa. It seats more than 10 and the view of the ocean is incredible. You get a nice morning breeze to have your coffee and just enjoy your surroundings. We had 6 adults and 4 kids and never felt crowded with all the bedrooms and sitting areas. The pool was used every day and night and has the same views of the ocean. Jenny and Alex were beyond amazing, they make you feel like you’re part of the family. They are so helpful and will go the extra mile to help/please your every need. They are a big reason we may book the villa again.

Fantastic Family Vacation!

Our stay at Villa Amore was wonderful! As stated in previous reviews, pictures just don’t do it justice. I couldn’t get over the spectacular view from the outside terraces and took every opportunity to relax and enjoy it. Our family of six, five adults and an eight year-old, spent many hours enjoying the pool and all of us absolutely loved Jenny and Alex! They were so accommodating and assisted us any way they could. Meals were an event to be savored! We had one fussy eater his requests were always accommodated. The villa was immaculately kept and Jenny even did laundry upon request. Honestly, we have never stayed in a better vacation rental. Thank you, Laura, for promptly answering our questions and for allowing us the pleasure of staying at your beautiful villa. And to Jenny and Alex, you are the best!

Paradise and the Perfect Escape for our Family

Our extended family had the pleasure of staying at Villa Amore in mid-March as the second half of our family trip to Costa Rica. This was a perfect getaway spot for us with everything we could ask for and more. The place was spotless, the pool was well maintained and the view and ocean breezes couldn’t be beat. We loved the space in the bedrooms for all our luggage and as four separate families with children it was the perfect setup for sleeping. And then there was Alex and Jenny, they were so warm, welcoming and accommodating to our group. We all very much enjoyed their fabulous cooking and the break it gave us from making our own breakfast and dinners was a priceless luxury! We will be recommending this place to other friends and family.

Amazing family vacation

We rented the property for our mothers 70th birthday. 6 adults 4 kids ranging from 5 to 11. Basically everything that could have gone wrong did (planned area wide power outage for 1 day, unplanned area wide water outage for part of day, 5 year old ran through a sliding glass door) and even wjth all of that it was one of the best vacations any of us have had. The listing is even better than the pictures. The chef/caretakers Alex and Jenny are truly amazing and were able to troubleshoot all issues even though they werent the fault of the property. Location was perfect. Alex recommended a few local excursions such as horsebackriding that were amazing. Once in a lifetime experience.

Unbeatable Full Service Getaway

After staying in 40 short-term rental homes (of all price ranges) around the world, this is single-handedly the best in every way. Every day in the home was an animal watching experience. We saw and heard dozens of birds, local monkeys, and even whales breeching off the coast! All from the comfort of the incredibly luxurious and comfortable indoor/outdoor living spaces and the gorgeous and comfortable pool that the kiddos (ages 1-4) and the adults (all in our 30's) loved. It's hard to believe, but the listing description and photos don't do the house, property, and whole experience justice.Additionally, Alex and Jennifer (the onsite chefs/housekeepers/helpers) were a gift. They are professionally-trained chefs who have had years of practice and cook incredible food. We ended up going out for a few meals, but wish we would have had all breakfasts and dinners at the house. Both of them are kind but also blend in and are never intrusive, while also being inviting and hospitable; a rare combo.Other Details:-The house is extremely safe from robbery.-The two nearby towns are cute, and Playa Carrillo is a phenomenal beach.-The house is well-stocked with games, books, beach chairs, and kiddo pool toys floaties.-The concierge helped us book tours with ease.If you are planning a trip to Costa Rica, plan your entire visit around this home.

Beautiful property with fantastic chef

We had high expectations for this property and they were exceeded. The staff provided - chefs/housekeepers were exceptional. The meals are best described as fine dining - such a pampering to have breakfast and dinner made to order for you 6 days a week. The house itself is also beautiful and has such an incredible view. We were able to watch whales out on the ocean. It is also in a more rural area. There were literally monkeys swinging through the trees down the street. We also felt very safe here. Highly, highly recommend.

Large family trip - Amazing time

We had the most magical stay at Villa Amore. It truly is the definition of luxury. Such an amazing space to gather at the end of a day of adventuring to spend time together as a family, watching the sunset over the pacific. Alex and Jenny were phenomenal. So kind, professional and helpful. The meals were amazing, each one better than the last. My only advice would be to add some information to the pre trip information around customary tipping practices for the area, for both excursions and also for Alex and Jenny. They were so phenomenal and we wanted to show our gratitude but have no idea if the amount we left was sufficient.

Awesome Vacation!

Now we know why all of the reviews were rated best of the best! We had four families sharing the property with ages ranging from 2 to 68 and everyone had the best time ever. Alex and Jen are the best hosts and their culinary skills are amazing. We had every meal at the villa with the exception of their day off. The property is very much as advertised with plenty of room for our group of 12. One of those trips that no one wanted to leave with guaranties that we will all be back!

Fantastic trip to Carrillo

This was our second trip to Carrillo. We love the area, and the beaches are beautiful! Laura was great during the booking process, and Alex and Jenny were so helpful and easy to communicate with. The house is gorgeous, with amazing ocean views. The food was delicious, we ate in every night! Jenny kept the house so clean, and even did our laundry when needed. Absolutely amazing experience!

Right from the beginning Laura was absolutely amazing with communication and giving recommendations for planning excursions and all those little details for things! The house was stunning! Alex and Jenny far exceeded our expectations and by day 2 felt like part of our family! The house was always immaculate, food was top tier and just being able to spend time and conversation with them was amazing! Costa Rica definitely did not disappoint in any way! Family Trip for Mom’s 70th

My wife, parents and adult sisters stayed at Villa Amore for a week to celebrate my Mom’s 70th birthday. Everything about the week was great. There is not much more to be said that has not been said in previous reviews . The food is incredible. I hope to book again with some friends.
