Pier 57 is a beautiful building with an incredible rooftop pool.
This particular unit is very pretty with style being emphasized over some functional needs. None of the following are deal breakers but if corrected would provide a much better experience. For example the unit does not provide beach towels, only pool towels on the rooftop (which is great), only 14 hangers total in the entire 2 bedroom unit (more would be great), a clothes drying rack for clothes you can’t dry in the dryer, add towel bars in the bathrooms. Only 2 of us stayed in the unit, had there been 4 of us, more bathing towels would have been needed. We recommend someone from the company managing the unit stay there for a week and add these little touches to make the experience exceptional instead of just okay.
The biggest recommendation is to consider replacing the blinds including the blackout blinds. This unit faces south and gets sun for most of the day. It gets the unit very hot. The blinds have large gaps between each segment. The blackout blinds also have large gaps between segments and only run for a portion of the windows on the primary bedroom side. Makes it difficult to sleep in, take an afternoon siesta and to control temperature in the unit.
