The hosts are genuinely kind, attentive, and easy to communicate with, which made the stay pleasant on a personal level. Their hospitality is clearly a strong point and appreciated.That said, I cannot justify a five star rating due to several structural and comfort-related issues that materially impacted the experience. The layout of the bedrooms is not particularly functional, and more importantly, the mattresses are excessively firm—uncomfortably so. This is not a matter of preference; it reached the point of causing pain in the middle of the night and disrupted sleep consistently.Cleanliness could also be improved. While not unacceptable, it did not meet the standard one would expect at this level. Additionally, the air conditioning system requires attention: the filters likely need cleaning or replacement, as there was a noticeable and somewhat unpleasant odor when in use.The kitchen feels dated and would significantly benefit from remodeling, both in terms of aesthetics and usability.All of this is a missed opportunity because Cadaqués itself is nothing short of spectacular, truly a paradise setting. With improvements in maintenance, comfort, and overall execution, this property could easily rank among the best in the Caribbean. As it stands, it falls short of that potential.
