« The property is historic, yet well renovated, so we were comfortable. They also provide tea and cups of noodles at no additional cost if guests need a snack. The biggest bonus is that it's a traditional Japanese house in a historic part of town, so staying there is a travel experience in itself. The small intersection the house is located at is even on the front cover of a tourist handout at the local TI office. We highly recommend it. »

« What a cool spot to explore Takayama from - it's less than a minute's walk from Takayama Station and the communication from the host made it super easy to get into and get settled. Once you're ready to venture out, everything in Takayama is within 10-20 minutes of walking, from the castle ruins to Dokonaru Yokocho, it's all right out the front door.
