« We are a big family and were welcomed with open arms. Hotel Balsthal is a charming, modern hotel with a rustic feel to it.
We enjoyed our stay very much and will definitely be back.
Staff is very welcoming to children and went above and beyond to accommodate our little ones.
It is surrounded by beautiful nature trails and old castles to visit.
I strongly recommend staying here!!!

« Sadly there was no breakfast though my booking had implied breakfast included. But a lovely member of staff did spontaneously drum up a comprehensive continental breakfast (including croissants) for my daughter and me. Thanks for this! We had the room wth the river view very nice. »

"We enjoyed our one night stay in this hotel. The front desk lady was super nice and let us check in before 3:00pm. She gave us Basel Card and explained how to benefit from it. It saved us a lot of money for public transportation and museums. The room was very clean. The only thing that we think could improve is the outlets by the bed. If they could put one outlet on each side of the bed, that'll be more convenient. Overall, it's a nice hotel that we would recommend to anyone visiting Basel."
