« Beautiful, large, old home, filled with hundreds of antiques, and a story for every one of them, I'm sure. You'd run out of time before you saw all of them. Really comfy beds, lots of bedrooms (some had private sitting rooms) and bathrooms. Nearly private driveway that winds through beautiful mountain scenery. We were there in winter and still saw tons of wild life..the birds! so many. Huge, old kitchen with some comfy chairs an eat in table and breathtaking views. A private bedroom wing, BUT...

The only downside was the living room was perpetually cold while other rooms would be toasty, and the space heaters didn’t emit much. We also didn’t have enough paper towels. "The guy at the reception finished his cigarette before greeting me. The door of my room did not lock because it ha been forced open by a prybar type of tool. It took them an additional 10 minutes to give me a new room and key. He gave me the key to an occupied room. Another 15 minutes Ian other room…terrible. People from outside came and help themselves with the breakfast buffet in the morning. Staff did not interfere. Felt like the place is operated by low life mafia. I was afraid that my truck would get stolen.. "
