It meant that to get privacy you had to draw the curtains which then covered not only the door but also the only windows and I like to have open windows, especially when there is no air conditioner. However, the service was poor - they felt understaffed and even non busy mealtimes seemed a strain on resources. « Just had a wonderful stay at The Pheasant, Holt, Norfolk. The hotel was very comfortable, lovely bedrooms and equally lovely seating areas downstairs. We were out and about most of the time, as one would expect to be on a short vacation however, the ambience and comfort when at the hotel was simply wonderful.
