Perfect family gathering place

We rented the house for a big family gathering. It was so nice - each little family had their own room and bathroom. The pool was the biggest hit for everyone. The team was very easy to communicate with and quick to answer all my questions. We’ll definitely come back.

Not really worth the money

We paid 11,000 and then felt a bit nickel and dimed. Only 1 hour of the hot tub being heated per day (50 an hour after that). Thermostat says do not lower below 75 (which is wild for how hot and humid it was). No ice in the ice machine. And I didn’t have hot water in my shower for half the trip. I messaged them about it and even explained how to fix it. They sent out two “ Maintenance” guys to look at it and told me I was wrong and they would need to replace a part but couldn’t do it until we left. Once the second guy left, I fixed it myself in 15 minutes. All of this is small stuff until you consider the fact that we paid 11,000 to stay there…

Big house for the whole family

We held a family reunion with 14 adults and 6 toddlers / infants and this was one of the only places available in the Dallas / Ft Worth metro. If you are looking for a no-frills spot to just hang around the house together, this one is for you. The pool was a hit, but the host does nickle-and-dime you with a charge by the hour for the hot tub (it does get hot quickly). The house is in okay condition, but it could use some improvements. The beds weren’t very comfortable and were squeaky. The bunk beds’ side rails weren’t attached. Fixtures were loose or inoperable, etc. The property is quiet (there is a second rental behind the main house) and there is a little town nearby with a cute little coffee shop and grocery store. If you plan on cooking, bring all the ingredients needed as the pantry is bare. Overall, I recommend, with caution.

Fantastic house and property!

We had such a special family reunion at the Arcadia. Plenty of room for everyone and we enjoyed the spacious kitchen and living room. The pool was great and we appreciated the covered pavilion. Management was prompt for the few issues we had. We had an excellent time, loved the house and would stay again!

2024 Family vacation

Our family is large, so it is difficult to find a place for us to enjoy time together. We appreciate the number of beds and baths ar Arcadia Resorts. With the heavy thunderstorms, we did have trouble with some of the amenities working currently. Management was responsive, but it difficult to get appliances serviced on the weekends. We improvised and used the air fryer when the control panel on the oven shorted. There were plenty of activities for the broad range in ages for our grandchildren. I think everyone had a great time.

Not worth the money

This place is not worth the cost at all. In the pictures there was a pond but when we got there the pond was dried. The pool was not clean. We found frogs and insects in there. The hot tub was not included with the stay. Only 1 hour was included with the stay. Also, the owner was not quick at responding when we asked for any help.

Family trip to Texas

The ranch was the perfect place for our family to get together. The layout of the property is great. There were plenty of bedrooms for our group and the teens loved the pool. Highly recommend the ranch.

Extended Family Reunion

We gathered for my 60th birthday with our kids and grandkids. This home allowed us to have enough room to spread out in private spots and gather in one spot. We were the in the middle of a heat wave so we stayed in more than went to visit sites. The game room, the pool and outdoor spaces kept all entertained and happy.

Umlah Family Vacation

What a wonderful property. Just perfect for our large family. Property owners/managers were on top of every issue and responded right away. We had a wonderful time. Love the bedrooms with a bath, and the handicap accessible room was perfect for my elderly parents. We have been having family vacations for over 10 years and this was by far the best one.

Spacious and private

We had a family get together of 15 and we really loved this property. Plenty of room for all of us to sleep and interact and could certainly accommodate a few more people very comfortably. Most of my party reported that their beds were firm but comfortable; bedrooms were all pretty private and discrete. Most if not all the bathrooms had a shower & jetted tub. The teens/young adults made good use of the game room and there was a nook with toys for younger children too. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes, pots & pans, and multiple small cooking appliances- blender, toaster, air fryer, Keurig. Major appliances were all new/recent models and we appreciated the double oven and large fridge. There was plenty of seating inside and out and the property is large and secluded, well-kept, and the trees provide a lot of shade near the house. We didn’t make use of the fitness room but all equipment appeared to be well kept and in good condition. The A/C worked well and wifi was good, we didn’t really do any heavy gaming but we streamed some movies and had 15 people connected without issue. A few of the bedrooms had TVs but didn’t have power cords so I assume those are a work in progress, they weren’t mentioned in the listing. They left a basket of snacks for us at check in and a hand written welcome note with 3 people to contact if needed, someone was always available and responsive. The linen closet contained bath towels for each guest and a few swim towels as well which I have found is a rare amenity at properties with a pool. There weren’t really extra bath towels or washcloths stocked so if that is important to you, remember to ask. The washing machine & dryer are large capacity. There was plenty of parking, we had 8-9 vehicles that all fit within the circle drive in front of the house. The property is also pet friendly but keep in mind that the only fenced area is the small area surrounding the pool. The only disappointment we had was that the pool wasn’t really operational during our stay but I don’t think it was out of neglect, it was just unfortunate timing for our stay that some of the equipment wasn’t working. The pool has a spa & waterfall, a few lounge chairs and even a few pool floats. Overall, it was practically perfect for our group’s vacation wants and needs and it’s obvious the owners are putting a lot of work and attention to detail to make this a welcoming property. We would definitely look forward to staying here again in the future.
