We had a nice time, all questions, and issues were addressed in a timely manner. The only thing that needs attention is the board on the porch. It bows up and could trip someone.

Stay away from this property if you can

I checked in at 10.30 and to my horror the access code didn’t work. I waited in the cold until 10.45 before someone could guide me through the process. The property itself was very dirty, there were hair lying around the washroom,l. The location however is great, it’s right next to a beach.

The place was very clean. We had one issue with a sheet and the owner was quick to replace it. The house was well stocked. It was also a lot bigger then we expected. It is an older building but it was perfect for our family. We loved how close the beach was and we were able to walk to the resturants and stores. The price was good and we were very happy.

Was comfy but wouldn't stay again

This was our second time at this property in a different unit. This stay the unit was freshly mopped and was wet when we checked in. We had to open windows to let the smell out. The place was clean and we'll stocked. The sheets hadn't been changed in the main bedroom. There was hair and weird stains on the sheets and blankets. My husband and I found blankets in a cabinet and slept on top of the covers the first night. We messaged the hosts in the morning who coordinated getting us fresh bedding on our second day. The overall property is aged with lots of little blemishes. It wasn't enough for us not to try again after the first stay but the dirty bedding was enough for us not to book here again.

Perfect location, could use some care, fan and light above range do not work causing smoke/heat alarm to go off when cooking. Fridge is missing half its shelves. Priced right for a return trip.

Not great, not even good

So many issues, we've requested a partial refund. The bed was broken, and couldn't support the weight of sitting on it. There was not enough kitchen items for the four registered guests. No a/c, and available fans were inoperable, and the property said they couldn't fix or replace them. And the noise!!! It's literally 10yards off of Hwy 101. It is SOOOOO LOUD. Legitimately the loudest street noise we've ever experienced. And the only potential saving grace was the proximity to the beach, but even that was not as expected. You have to cross 101, a railroad track and through a neighborhood. Would not stay here again, and would not recommend.

Birthday Vacation

Was pleasantly surprised with the cottage, within walking distance of everything, rented this for granddaughter's 8th birthday celebration, I'm from Louisiana, the other grandma is from Georgia, my son & granddaughter live in Oregon City, we all love the beach, so this was the perfect place. My son & I decided to try renting the cottage anytime I come out west, the price was very reasonable, also. All in all, I give a 10 star rating. Completely happy!!!

Cozy

It was clean. I appreciated the shampoo and conditioner in the bathroom. I felt they shorted us on towels as there were only 5. It's not like they don't count them and it says accomodates 6. Also 6 day rental and they left 2 rolls of toilet paper, I've rented many homes and while not necessary, i was annoyed at having to go buy toilet paper. Bring so wonderfully close to the beach, nearly right across the street, a broom would have been handy. We really did enjoy being able to pop over and enjoy a sunset. The king bed was a bit big for that tiny room. The double bed was the big issue. The bottom bar was gone and the foot of the bed fell through. My 20 year old daughter fell through to the floor after sitting at the foot of the bed to put on her shoes. She laughed, but had that been an older family member, it could have been bad. Their fix for it was hardly satisfactory, being a diagonal board balanced there. Oh, and the last full day there, people cleaning were in a screaming match twice during the day with threats of cops being called and peeling out. I had to go check my vehicle as i was concerned it would take damage. Overall, would stay again, but there were a few issues.

From the East coast to the West coast

We flew in from Florida and we wanted to stay at a cozy place and this was just perfect. It was close enough to everything we wanted to see on this side of the coast. We are now continuing our trip down to the middle and south areas of the coast. The beds were so comfortable!

Value for the area

This is an older property, needs remodeling (especially bathroom) and refreshing. Having said that, we would stay here again. We booked #1 and it was roomy and comfortable. We cooked all meals from scratch (and had all we needed). Would have loved to see flowers hanging from the hooks ( hooks already present) like all the other properties in town. But, like stated, good value for the area, which we truly enjoyed!

I thought the place was quite pleasant.It was it felt like home In some ways, bright, sunny.Being in the unit closest to highway 101 that's a little noisy but I lived by a noisy street so it didn't affect me too much. Every block has beach access and they had a fire pit on-site.It was quite enjoyable.

Great location, just two blocks from the beach

Not particularly glamorous and a little small in the sleeping quarters, but had all the amenities I could ask for. We didn’t spend much time in the rooms or the unit, but when we did it was comfortable and quiet. Appliances could use some updating but overall a nice stay. If you are staying in Rockaway Beach, give this place a try. Good price points, great location, and friendly people in the area. Be nice to people and they will return the favor!

First the good. Easy to call and chat with staff when we had an issue with booking. Not their fault at all and Chris was awesome with helping me fix it. Very courteous and accommodating! Spacious and price was good too. Now the eh
 Cute but a bit worn. Needs a little TLC. Just a tad more attention to detail on cleaning in spots. Furniture was stained. Blinds could use a good dusting and seemed worn out but I understand those are expensive. Wall had some spots that would be easily tidied by a magic eraser. You are right next to road and the kitchen fridge (?) kept making a clicking noise. If you’re a light sleeper I don’t suggest this location. Next door minimart has very bright lights that shine into bedrooms through closed blinds. One room has curtains to dim a bit but other doesn’t. Would love for it to be a bit more welcoming, especially if coffee or tea was included.

Cozy but...

It was listed as a condo and upon arrival, it was a converted motel room. The place was cozy but was definitely lacking cleanliness: (. The management was very accommodating by bringing us extra blankets and letting us check in and hour early. I let them know my dissatisfaction about the clumsiness of the place and they replied immediately and apologized. Overall I would recommend I just think that they should advertise that it is a motel not a condo and definitely have the place clean so this day is 100% amazing.
