« The cabin was very nice, clean, and quite. Good place to unwind. »

« Beautiful little cabin in a lovely secluded location. Clean, comfortable, extremely quiet. The only issue we found is - the hot water heater is horribly undersized. Any more than one 10-min shower and you’ll be taking a COLD shower! Lovely retreat for a couple, but a shower together? Out of the question! My wife and I took AM/PM shifts on the 2nd day after it took my breath away on day 1. »

« Although the cabin was not cleaned before we arrived, the Vacasa cleaning crew came right over after we called. They said it was a scheduling problem that caused them to not have the cabin cleaned before we got there. I would have expected a proactive call to let us know about the problem and for them to have corrected the schedule before we got there and called them about it. Vacasa is also refunding us our cleaning fee. »

« The cabin was very very comfortable and clean. It had everything we needed for our stay. The owner was very helpful and friendly. »

« Everything was great except the beds and linens. Pillows should be replaced-stained. Mattresses were hard as a rock, very uncomfortable and bed frame squeaked.Linens should be updated, very old. The family did a lot of outdoor activities, it would have been wonderful to go to bed and get needed rest but unlikely with the mattresses and flat stained pillows. Betty McBrien »

« If you’re looking for a peaceful, relaxing, and beautiful place to stay, this is the one! The cabin was extremely clean, beds were comfortable and the shower was nice and hot, and the views of the lake can’t be beat, and the location of this cabin is also ideal- it was close to many hikes, and extremely close to the local grocery store and all the restaurants. »

« This is really an old summer camp. No frills. Not clean. Sticky and slimy surfaces, refrigerator was not clean and had food in it, the kitchen sink faucet was broken and leaked water all over and down the counter, dishes were dirty with food debris, cabinets and closets had a crazy bad smell. « This Caribou Island cabin was perfect for an end of summer getaway for my kids (13 and 11) and me. The highlight for us was the location--nestled in the trees right on the lake, but completely private. I can't say enough about how beautiful the property is. The bedrock protrudes through a thin cover of soil and is covered with a variety of lichen and moss that is absolutely gorgeous. « We enjoyed our stay, especially the wonderful shore walks, bedroom in the trees tops, and very peaceful. The Living Room furniture is rather "funky" and fun, but the couch really needs to be replaced. Loved all the updates made to the cabin. The great amount of work that has gone into updating this cottage is obvious. Kudos to the people that have worked so hard to update this property! »
