« Stayed here for a week with the the whole family (two kids under 10 and five adults). The house was exactly what we expected and great for our trip. We especially loved the location just down the street from the beach and sound. We made most of our own meals while staying, utilizing both the kitchen and the Blackstone (though my husband notes the attached side pieces on the grill get hot so he needed a side table for plates). « We enjoyed our stay. Cristina was a wonderful host and we really appreciated her excellent communication and how well she accomodated our group. The house was absolutely adorable and very comfortable. We also loved how close it was to the beach - just a short 7-min walk! The fact that the bech felt so private was a real bonus. »

« Beautifully furnished immaculate home with easy beach access. Centrally located near stores and restaurants. Loved the decks and deck furniture - fun evening on the deck feeling like we were “ in the trees.” A lot of love went into this place. Lots of nice “extras”: a keurig with coffee pods, tea bags and tea kettle, books and games , beach towels to name a few. Although there is no beach view, you still feel like you are on the beach. Highly recommended! »

« Great location in South Nags Head, with a quick walk to the beach, easy access to the pier and Oregon Inlet. At the time of our stay, the owner has provided a great deal of extras for guests to enjoy from beach chairs, beach towels, bikes, etc. My family was able to book a short, partial week stay as we awaited opening of Hatteras Island following hurricane Erin. Great spot to enjoy the beach in the OBX. »

« The condo is the perfect spot for a family, pirates cove is a wonderful facility and has so much for everyone to do. »

« This is a great property for those looking for an OBX property that isn’t ginormous. Definitely an updated older beach home, with nice updated decor. Under-house entertaining and game room were nice features. Host is highly attentive. The property is next to a somewhat busy road on one side, but that also allowed for easy access to walking trails. Beach was a very short walk and didn’t involve crossing any roads. We had a great time. »

« We were so lucky to find Sound Serenity when our previously scheduled home was canceled a week & a half before our trip. Even though we weren’t right on the beach, the home was an easy 12 minute walk to the beach for sunrise and 5 minute walk to the sound for sunset. The home was beautifully decorated and very clean. « Overall we had a great stay. The house is older and has weathered some storms but is fairly nice and served us well. Be prepared for lots of steps, which I'm sure is the case in any large beach house. We had 2 toddlers under 2 so it was a challenge to keep them off the steps. The gate from the top deck to the outside stairs desperately need to be replaced and some of the older deck furniture needs to be replaced but overall things were in pretty good shape. The hot tub didn't get very hot and...

« Wonderful beach charm cottage. Very relaxing. Well stocked. Nice TP and Paper towels provided along with dish soap, a new kitchen sponge. Shampoo, body wash and hair conditioner were supplied too. The location is VG. Pride of ownership shows. A little tough on doggie paws due to sand burrs, and thorns in nearby growing vines. But, that’s the nature of beach vegetation. »
