A beautiful vista makes for ultimate relaxation.
This property is the perfect retreat, close to wineries and shops for essentials and a lovely pool to swim in. The rooms are large and lovely and the aircon works a treat on hot days! Would definitely rent again!

Leeca’s 60th Birthday
The property was great and we enjoyed the Area. We got to use all the property had to offer. We played golf, went for walks, swam in the pool, got to ride our bikes around the property, played games and had some really nice breakfast’s, lunches and dinners. We saw lots of Kangaroos in the mornings and the afternoons. We would definitely refer people to stay at this property.

Peaceful stay
This is an older property. Magnificent property land. Plenty of car spaces. Didn't understand the two separate front door entrances ??We stayed 2 nights. Huge modern bathrooms x2. One bathroom accommodated laundry needs nicely. should you require to wash. Open fireplace for winter. Split air con in main living area. Air cons in two bedrooms with ceiling fan and TV in ensuite bedroom. Proximity to White Barn wedding venue was excellent. less than 2km. Our guest provided excellent kitchen needs. Plenty of utensils, crockery, pots & pans etc, etc. A beautiful peaceful stay. Too cold to swim, but an amazing pool with surrounds. We had a BBQ lunch which was great. Wrap around verandahs. A day bed. The boys played golf. they said it was fun and right in the backyard. lots of bird life and kangaroos. Our host Stephen was very very helpful. Overall, we had a great short stay, and this is an amazing property for families and or a group of friends.

Fantastic getaway spot
Our family (two dogs, toddler and two adults) thoroughly enjoyed the expansive property. Fully equipped and very quiet. 10 - 15 min drive to Pokolbin. Communications from Stephen was excellent. Highly recommended.

Comfortable Home, Beautiful Property, Great Location
Sascher’s Retreat was a wonderful place to take our 2 dogs and visiting family from Canada, including a 9-year-old. We were perfectly comfortable there through our week of extreme weather, including watching a spectacular storm across the valley from the back veranda. There was plenty to keep us entertained for the week at the property and we were 10-15 minutes from many Hunter Valley activities, including 22 local dog friendly wineries and 18 dog friendly restaurants, all recommended by our incredible host Stephen. We could not have been more impressed by Stephen. He promptly answered any questions we had before and during our stay. We all had a great time!

This is our second stay at this gorgeous property and we loved it just as much the second time around, in terms of cleanliness, space and everything provided. Stephen was a great host as well. The weather wasn’t ideal but The Hunter Valley is always one of my favourite places to visit and Sascha’s Retreat is the best place during.

Cool in the pool for a relaxing weekend
Sacha's retreat is a well located and setup comfortable place for a great weekend with family or friends at the wineries, or in our case for a concert, with some extra little touches that make it more fun. It was a stinking hot weekend and we really appreciated the air con/ceiling fans inside and the beautiful pool for a full cool down. We didn't have time to fully explore the golf course or the dam amenities - maybe next time! But the view of 8 hot air balloons drifting over/near us and kangaroos close by on our last morning capped of a great weekend stay.

Character filled escape
Plenty of old world charm and character mixed with the comforts of home. Our days were filled with outside action. Our son gave his new mountain bike plenty of airtime over the jump. Our daughter used the outdoor day bed to chill whilst she wrote. Our groodle went nuts running and roaming the grounds, chasing the bike, the ball and the dead fish floating in the pond. Many a golf ball was sent flying down to the flag (and mostly retrieved). Plenty of space for everyone to do their thing be that in or out. Easy access to vineyards and Coles. Highly recommend the escape

Unique Hunter experience
The perfect location for family stay at the Hunter Valley. Farm like feel but so close to everything. Amazing views, beautiful pool, large acreage for walks/runs and character filled home comfortable for two families. All this plus a golf course! Highly recommend this place for a unique Hunter stay.

Great pet friendly & family escape
We had a lovely stay at Sascha’s retreat. Really enjoyed being able to take our dog with us & having so much space for the kids to run around on. Watching the kangaroos and the hot air balloons was a highlight for our children.

Too small for the 7 adults 1 child especially the kitchen outside lawns not mown even though it hadn’t rained for a few days no pillow cases on some of the beds (COVID) but we did manage to have a nice time any not enough linen for the Lounge to be made up

Sascha’s Retreat was a wonderful place for our whole family to chill out for a week. Dogs included.
Size of land for golf practice and pool were awesome for keeping teenagers busy, plenty of room inside for everyone to be able to have their own space.

Perfect private spot
We loved our stay, Stephen was easy to communicate with, and provided a great stay. Our friends made good use of the facilities and enjoyed the golf, and extra space for many games. The pool is a great place to relax.

Perfect setting and great 'country cottage 'accommodation
We celebrated my husbands' 70th birthday, with grown up kids and grand-kids. It was nothing short of perfect! We laughed at kids paddling on the edge of dam, enjoyed the golf, and evenings around the fire pit. House immaculate, beds comfortable, beautiful bathrooms. Kitchen is quaint, don't expect 'state of the art', but functional. Lots of extras ( thank you to the owners). Would return and thoroughly recommend. As cold as it was, the kids couldn't resist a jump in the pristine pool. Warm outdoor shower after. Fabulous !

Cute little cottage.
Staying with girlfriends for an event at Roche Estate. We were very excited pulling up to Sascha's Retreat. It had everything we needed. Very peaceful and relaxing. The host Stephen very easy to deal with and very helpful with information on the area. House very clean. Never been to Hunter Valley before and I would definitely love to go back and Sascha's would be my accommodation of choice. I highly recommend this little cottage for a country getaway

Our hosts have pretty much thought of everything you might need as an inclusion. There are several great indoor and outdoor spaces for all weather and plenty of activities on site or nearby. Really enjoyed our stay .

Family birthday getaway
We had three generations of family staying for the weekend, or coming and going for various meals. The kitchen and BBQ were great and there was plenty of space for our large group to eat inside or on the verandah as the weather changed. We took all our own food and didn't leave the property throughout! We all enjoyed walks around the land and our dog loved the space and was very curious about the kangaroos. We learned that he could swim in a dam if prompted by the desire to catch ducks (who happily easily escaped). Most of us swam in the pool and had a go at golfing - a very clever set-up. It was very relaxing and felt like the country as the house is rather haphazard, but charming despite a ceiling leak and round about layout. The owner was very attentive and helpful.

Perfect place to relax, unwind and take in the Hunter Valley
My wife, one-year old daughter and I booked Sascha's retreat for five nights in early February and had such a great time. The open spaces, beautiful pool, very comfortable accommodation and responsiveness of the owner made for an awesome overall experience. We lounged at the pool, hit golf balls, drank G&T's on the day-bed as Kangaroo's hopped past at sunset... it was just what we needed to totally disconnect. We will definitely stay here again and appreciate all of the work Stephen has done to make this a very well set-up escape...

Perfect City Escape
We had a wonderful 3 night stay. We were 3 couples and 5 dogs. Sascha’s Retreat had it all. Very comfortable and welcoming. We enjoyed exploring the property, played some golf and swam in the pool. Walked down the road a little way to the vineyard Black Creek Farm which we would highly recommend! Our host Stephen was friendly and informative. We will definitely be back

Beautiful property, amazing memories made!
My now husband and I had our wedding at this beautiful property and we had the most amazing time! We stayed with our dog Buddy, and 4 parents. We contacted Stephen after having our first wedding plans fell through due to COVID. I had been hunting around for a venue for our new plan (small wedding). When Sascha's Retreat popped up I knew it was the one! It's pet friendly and an absolutely beautiful property. The photos online don't do it justice! Communications with Stephen cannot be faulted. I called him several times to make changes to the weekend and he was accommodating, fair and flexible. This was so refreshing after our dealings with our old venue withholding money, and after having a tough year in general. He went above and beyond for us to help make this day special. The house was rustic and beautiful, split into two sides (handy for getting ready). It was very well equipped and had great character. The master bathroom was the perfect place for the girls to get ready. Beautiful natural light. The property has several possible ceremony locations, and we decided to hire a marquee for the day. Everything ran beautifully and all of the guests commented on how lovely it was at the property. The mornings are also stunning, watching the hot air balloons in the distance is magical! If you're thinking of coming here do it! You won't be disappointed.

Beautiful Property
It was the perfect place for up. Large property for the kids and dogs (and adults) to explore. Beautiful sunrises and sunsets. The pool was great and got a lot of use. Its located 1 minute from the closest Winery and 10 mins to Coles Supermarket. We really enjoyed it.
