„Positives - really lovely location a very short distance from Port Sunlight museum and Lady Lever Gallery. We booked for the guided tour and it was very enjoyable and interesting. Plenty of space for four adults - lovely lounge and huge very pretty main bedroom Ample hot water and good shower. However there was no lock at all on the toilet door and not one of the four of us were able to engage the bolt on the separate bathroom door. „Die Woche in Wales war der beste Teil unsere England-Reise. Nach Ankunft im Haus sind unser Jungs erstmal eine Viertelstunde begeistert durch das Haus gerannt - das ist uns bisher noch nich passiert. Toll ist die direkte Umgebung des Hauses, der Blick auf den Fluss ist phänomenal. In der näheren Umgebung gibt es viel zu erleben und zu erkunden.“

„The accommodation was very poor standard. The small bedroom had no electricity except for overhead light. Situation of bed meant no access to bedside table in that room. Really unfit for purpose The place felt grubby. Not enough crockery. No basics left eg milk bread washing up liquid. The upstairs toilet blocked on first day and left a voicemail msge to Gary but no reply. Bathroom needs immediate refurbishment. „The property was a great base for a short stay in Chester for a family of 5. We were no more than 15 minutes from some of the notable local attractions and amenities. The house itself suited our needs and was in a quiet neighbourhood. The house and rooms were of ample size to accommodate 2 adults and 3 children (all under 13).“

„We only had a very short stay but found the property to be a beautiful old farmhouse with fantastic old features, lovely open fire with plenty of logs and character. Old worn stairs, exposed wooden beams and not a right angle in the place ! Nice and quiet and well out the way. Doggy was very welcome as well.“

„Perfect for exploring Chester on foot and close to the station. Lovely comfy beds but the house itself was not as clean as I would have liked and there are a few maintenance issues but nothing to spoil the stay. We had a great week there. The size of the house was perfect for our family of 5 with older teenagers, not a huge amount of living space for a bigger group though.“

„Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt! Die Dusche war richtig heiß, um sich nach einem Tag in den Bergen aufzuwärmen. Anfangs funktionierte die Heizung nicht, aber das Problem war sofort nach einem freundlichen Kontakt mit dem Hausverwalter gelöst. Der Zug hat uns überhaupt nicht gestört! Wir würden wieder dort übernachten.“

„The photographs of the property do not do this house and gardens justice. There were 14 of us staying and it’s the best house we’ve ever stayed in. The kitchen has everything you need to cook and entertain, with an Aga and separate oven. Seating in the house is plentiful and the grounds are stunning. We could easily walk for dinner into Bala as well as stroll down to the lake. The children had a swim in the leisure centre as the lake is a tad cold in May! It’s worth every penny to stay here. ...
