„Beautiful place to spend Christmas. Serene, with the waves crashing below. It felt very christmassy especially with the tasteful decorations that had been arranged at the property. It has a very well stocked kitchen, is very comfortable and clean – it’s just the perfect to hang out and cook. Lovely walks close by and a shortish stroll in to Salcombe. I have been here a few times previously and hope to come many times more…“

„This property is ideal for a large family group. We had teens at 16 years to their grandparents at 80 and the house worked well for all of us. The property is clean and well presented but still practical so you can relax in it. It was very well set up in terms of equipment and facilities. The hot tub and sauna were a surprising godsend to our break, giving us plenty of things to do around the house when the weather wasn’t fantastic. „Shalimar was perfect, just 10 minutes from the centre of beautiful Salcombe, however, I would not recommend for anyone with disabilities due to the steep hills! The house was clean and comfortable with an abundance of facilities, we would definitely stay again and fully recommend.“

„The property has been nicely modernised with a high end kitchen and bathrooms and has a cute sun-trap garden. All three bedrooms are good size although the first floor master has low sloping ceilings which provided a nasty bump on the head on several occasions for two of us! A big plus was that there was always lots of hot water for showers plus there is a washing machine and tumble drier too. The parking space was welcome as parking in the road was far less easy than was implied when I enquired ...

„A lovely house, that has everything you need, and all items of good quality. The prosecco & crisps was a lovely touch which we thoroughly enjoyed after a long journey and also grateful for the milk. „We enjoyed staying at 5 Shadycombe cottage. Owner sent lots of useful information by email shortly before stay. The cottage was compact, clean and well equipped. The bathrooms were a little compact. The cottage location and proximity to Salcombe allowed us to walk into town. We found fabulous art store, along with a great bakery for breakfast goods and pasties, in addition fudge, chocolate and ice cream stores all very yummy. "Wir haben als Familie eine Woche Anfang August hier verbracht. Der Wohnbereich ist geräumig, die Schlafzimmer sind recht klein. Die Ausstattung des Hauses ist sehr gut. Alles ist gut in Schuss und funktioniert einwandfrei. Die Putzfrau hatte vor unserer Ankunft wohl leider einen schlechten Tag gehabt, aber das war nicht weiter schlimm. Eine Flasche Wein stand zur Begrüßung bereit - vielen Dank dafür. Die Lage ist sehr schön, man kann tolle Wanderungen und Ausflüge machen.Leider war das Wetter selbst für die Engländer, die wir trafen ziemlich schlecht."
