The Youth Hostel is on a working farm. The location is great as it about 10-15 minutes drive to Stonehenge and close to Salisbury. We got up early to go to Stonehenge, before all the crowds and buses arrived from London. This is a good adventure of staying Hostel - as there are few and far hotels near Stonehenge. Woodhenge and Old Sarum are also close by to the Youth Hostel.
The rooms and bathroom were simple, spacious and clean. There was a very comfortable common areas with TV and sofas. The communal kitchen had all the cooking appliances and basic cooking utensils to make a meal. There were two refrigerators for guests to store their food. Internet was very good.
The Hostel also had a small cafe for guests - and for 6 pounds the hostel would provide a hearty English Breakfast, which included delicious eggs, ham/bacon, sausage, beans, tomatoes and toasts.
When we drove up late at night, we thought the parking lot was small. Yet, there was plenty of parking in the back.
The staff were very helpful and friendly.
