The owner was pleasant and obliging, however, the accommodation was shabby and in places very untidy and dirty, which was not welcoming. Outside the part of the building in which the accommodation was located, there were discarded pieces of domestic rubbish and building rubbish. Overall this lack of care gives the impression of a place where we might also question hygiene, so we would not choose to visit again.

We are unsure what is broken and repaired? You didnt raise any issue at the property during your stay so we were unable to assist you.

A bit dated but a lovely stay apart from that. Gets a bit noisy due to being so close to the road and railway, and single-glazing does not help much. However, rooms were lovely and comfy, and nicely decorated. Enjoyed watching films on TV in the evening from my cosy bed.

Thank you for your kind feedback. We are working to resolve the window issue but its a small struggle due to being a listed building.

Abigail, Sorry you couldn't get the wifi to work. The building has quite thick walls so very rarely there is a drop-out. I personally stayed in the same room as you the 2 nights before without issue. We will raise this with our supplier.We havent been at the pub very long and are struggling to get a clearance firm to remove the detritis someone dumped just before we took over.

Staff very helpful, dinner and lunch were goid an quite well priced. Room large and en suite a good size.

We didn’t know until we arrived that it is under new management. It definitely is a work in progress. Having said that the staff including the manager were excellent. However the place is quite tired and scruffy particularly upstairs. The bar area is ok, looks recently sorted out. The bedroom needed decorating although the bed was comfortable and bedding was clean. It was curry night so apart from chicken nuggets and fries curry was the only choice which was disappointing. Outside the property needs cleaning and tidying up and the windows need cleaning. However we do wish the new management all the best for the future.

Thank you for your feedback.There are lots of improvements happening daily and our priority was to ensure the building was clean and hygenic. This coming week all the rooms are being painted and we are trying to get a window cleaner - being mindful of the single glazing.We're glad you had a pleasant stay overall and hopefully you come back and see the changes we have made soon. Peaceful place
Large room with a bunk bed for children, the bathroom is fine, but a table and a couple of chairs are missing in the room. The curtains do not block the light, every car that passes by on the road is noticeable. family friendly place close to Salisbury.

Thank you for your review Rodrigo,There is an ownership change happening tomorrow and as part of that most of your points will be addressed. The curtains are on the list to be done this week. As the building is Grade 2 listed we cant easily put in double glazed windows but that adds to the character of the building.

We arrived about 22.15 and was greeted by our host , she showed us up to our room and gave us information about the stairs and door lock for diwnstairs. There were drinks and buscuits available in the room. It was a good sized room and bathroom, with a double bed and a set of bunk beds.
