« This was our second year here, due to the friendliness of the staff, the comfort of the room, the quality of the food and the location. You can do as much or as little as you like using this as a base. We just love the ambience of the whole area. We did trips by car, train, boat, bus as well as feet. Would visit again. « I booked two nights for myself and my 12 yr old daughter. I was looking for somewhere with a bit of character, that was away from all the noise and bustle, had a good breakfast to set us up for the day and food available in the evening. I was not disappointed. The Weary Friar was such a great little find, a proper country pub with great food (nothing too fancy), friendly staff and peace and quiet to wake up to. Will definitely head there again! »
