Dear Valerie,We do not have an old side and a new side. The room you stayed in was exactly the room you had booked. We have standard rooms, and we have superior rooms. As you booked a standard room, that is where you stayed. It is exactly as described and as shown in the pictures on Hotels.com. The rooms are not old. They have a traditional Austrian style (as shown in the pictures) and are equipped with all the required conveniences of a 4-star hotel and more like air conditioning, sound proofed windows, refrigerator, free wifi, free tea and coffee making facilities and more. This is a very good 4-stasr hotel, and we work very hard to make our guests feel comfortable and enjoy their stay. We are sorry that we were not the hotel you were looking for. Between the reception desk and the restaurant is a door, which is usually shut and keeps any noise away from the reception area.
