Bonne expérience
Joli hôtel très bien situé, à deux pas du rivetwalk. Décoration sympathique, personnel très agréable et chambre propre. Déjeuner bien également. Nous y avons passé 3 nuits. Nous vous recommandons cet hôtel.

Correct, mais sans plus.
Hôtel très bien situé (juste en face de Fort Alamo et à quelques minutes de marche de Riverwalk). Personnel accueillant, stationnements publics à côté de l'hôtel avec des espaces plutôt étroits pour des camions ou VUS. Chambre minuscule, pas beaucoup de rangement, mais salle de bain énorme pour les commodités qui y sont placées (seulement toilette, douche et poubelle). Le lavabo était à l'extérieur de la salle de bain, à même la chambre. Espace très restreint pour circuler autour du lit. Dans l'ensemble, l'hôtel est correct mais sans plus.

La chambre ne ressemblait pas aux images sur le site. Elle avait été rénovée mais pas du tout à la hauteur d’un 3,5 étoiles. Il ´s’agissait d’une vieille chambre, très petite et avec mobilier très de base. Les lits étaient « corrects » mais pas du tout au confort d’un 3,5 étoiles. Le plancher de la salle de bain n’était pas propre, j’ai trouvé des cheveux dans la douche. Les serviettes n’étaient pas épaisses comme celles qu’on retrouve dans les beaux hôtels. J’avais réservé l’hôtel selon les commentaires et le classement. J’avais pris avec cancellation en raison du Covid et les risques de devoir annuler à tout moment. La description et la propreté de l’hôtel n’étant pas à la hauteur du prix payé, j’ai quitté ma chambre sans même y coucher la première nuit. L’hôtel a refusé de me rembourser même les autres nuits.

I had enjoyed my stay here until I was charged twice for the room I had stayed in days after I checked out. It’s been almost 3 weeks and still haven’t received a refund. The room was great and way bigger than I anticipated. I was really happy with the trip until I had this issue. It’s a great place to stay just make sure you have extra money in your account if you get scammed like me haha.

My room was the smallest room in the hotel. I could barely walk around to get to the TV the bed looked like a full & it was almost against the wall. The restroom almost looked bigger than the bed area.

San Antonio is an experience all its own. Hotel Gibbs added to that experiencing because of its proximity to everything in the city. We valeted our car for two days and didn’t call it back until we were ready to leave the city. Everything is within walking distance and so beautiful!

The only bad thing i can say is my truck was damaged by the valet parking company working inside the hotel. They will pay for repairs they say, but i will have to do without my truck. We are traveling on vacation. Hotel was beautiful.

Sheets were stained when I arrived to the room. When I asked to get sheets changed, someone came to drop off sheets and left. All air vents covered in dust. Many surfaces in the room were covered in dust. Door knobs were sticky.

Property was missing the final touches like missing baseboard trim pieces in a bathroom, and the lobby looked sad and shabby. It just needs a refresh. The GM was really nice and informed us about a weather storm coming in as to protect our car we bought. Overall it was just “Ok”.

Property was pretty clean great service and communication. Breakfast is pretty early small selection but good for a couple of days. Now the only thing that creeped me out was the amount of HUMAN HAIR ON THE MATTRESS COVER LORD EVERYTHINB WAS CLEAN EXCEPT FOR THIS SO BRING LYSOL AND BEDBUG SPRAY JUST IN CASE

Overall, this is a historic hotel. Original flooring dating back from the early 1900s and older designee rooms give the rooms a unique character. Hotel is clean and an excellent location to the Alamo, shopping centres, restaursnts and the Riverwalk. Beware that parking is pricey here. $45 for valet or $40 for public parking with limited in and out privliges.

30/45mins into my stay, my truck got broken into and vandalized. After the cops had taken the report, I asked the lobby if there was a safe place to put my truck for the night. Staff stated they had a lot where they placed valet cars but that it wasn’t that much safer. I asked if I could cancel and check out. They stated they would still charge me the whole night and I would have to speak to Expedia in order to get my refund back. The day shift staff was very helpful with what happen in allowing my truck to be parked in front of the hotel until my window was fixed.

This is a beautiful old building. Our room was spacious and comfortable with a view of the Alamo. Nice location for walking along the Riverwalk, only a couple blocks away. They do a very nice breakfast buffet and the staff is friendly and helpful, especially Jasmine.
