The Good, The Bad and The Ugly
First the good.. the host response time was great and did have the home cleaned right away after we contacted. The beds were comfortable and bedding was clean. Kitchen was in good condition and the 2 upstairs bedrooms were nice. Location was great for our needs. Good wifi. Wonderful hot water and good air conditioning.The Bad.. the neighborhood was run down. Neighbors and dogs were loud during the night. Dining table looked to be a large piece of plywood with metal legs and one corner of the table looked to have been chewed on by a dog but it was functional.The Ugly.. the first thing when pulling up to the home we saw an old disabled pickup truck parked in front of the house full of trash (the host had the truck moved after contact). The upstairs bedroom doors would not completely close. The master bath had something all over the door knobs (cleaned off after contact) and a dirty counter. Also the floor had broken and missing tiles that cracked when you walked on them (the host had the bathroom floor temporarily covered with some laminate floor planks after contact). The master bathtub floor was spongy and a bit scary while showering. The bathtub fixture was held on by caulking and moved when turning on the shower. Dark moldy areas in the caulking around the tub. There was a nice big walk in closet in the master bath but the carpeting was filthy. The front door of the house had a large hole/gap on the bottom which was large enough for rodents. Pics avail
