High School Graduation/50th Anniversary Family Reunion

I recently stayed at this property with my family, who flew in from five different states and one overseas U.S. territory for a family reunion. Unfortunately, our experience did not meet our expectations, considering the amount we spent on our two-week stay. The washer and dryer were non-functional during our stay. We were unable to get the washer and dryer to work after multiple attempts over a three-day period. The refrigerator and freezer stopped working, resulting in the spoilage of a significant amount of our groceries, including essential items for our grandchildren. The pool maintenance worker informed us that chlorine had not been added to the pool, necessitating a return visit, which was concerning for the cleanliness and safety of the pool for our family. Cobwebs in the light fixtures above the dining table added to the sense that the place hadn’t been properly cleaned in some time. The front door keypad had stopped functioning, so after notifying the host, we replaced the batteries ourselves. One of the neighbors was noticeably unfriendly, which made the atmosphere a little less welcoming. During a heavy rainstorm, sediments washed onto the walkway and up to the front door, leaving 1/2" of mud and debris. Although the property had promise online, these issues significantly impacted our stay. Overall, although the host was helpful and responsive, the numerous issues made it difficult to relax and enjoy the trip fully.

Family vacation

The propane tank on the Blackstone is empty. Everything was great. One recommendation would be more hand towels and dish rags for the kitchen. We had a great time!

Complete disaster

The cleaning crew was still cleaning when we arrived but we told them not to hurry as apparently the prior people completely trashed the place. When we went in the house still had bags of trash and food on the ground inside and outside the house, trash in the drawers, a door was hanging off the hinges, a shelf was about to fall off in the bathroom, the remotes were missing batteries and some of the backs missing, the basketball hoop game was broken, and more. There was also no trash bags or paper towels to clean any of it ourselves. We notified the management company and they said they have the cleaning crew come back out. Management repeatedly said they would send them out over the next few days but no one ever showed. We were there from Wednesday afternoon to Sunday. On Thursday afternoon I ended up slipping on some of the trash on the front path into the house and hurt my ankle. I spent the rest of the trip on crutches/knee scooter. Over a week later and I’m still on them. No money has been refunded for the stay or medical bills as of now.

San Antonio gem

We really enjoyed our visit, the property is as advertised! Tons of room for everyone to chill and interact. Master shower drain needs attention and one of the steps to the stairs needs repair, other than that, perfect!!

Clean Enough!

Upon arrival we had issues with the door code, obtaining wifi information and operating the AC. After everything was figured out, and we got settled - we noticed an extreme amount of giant fly's all over the property. Some dead, some alive. Their existence was apparent all weekend no matter how many we killed. They didn't bite, but they were buzzing around the kitchen endlessly. We noticed a bunch of issues with the threshold on doors, assuming that's how the bugs entered. In other aspects, the kitchen was generally equipped but missing the extra's to really cook good dinners for a group this size. Pans and baking sheets were all very "single female sized" except a wok that was completely ruined and losing its coating. The Master Bath shower room was WET. The second you managed to figure out how to get hot water out of the shower - the entire room was soaked. The pool deck was DISGUSTING and the pool was full of yard waste. My husband and I set out early in the morning to clean everything the best we could, but it all felt very unsavory. There was trash bags stuck in the trees above the pool. I don't think our expectations were wild, but we were hoping to arrive in a clean, bug free house. We managed to get the house clean enough and it definitely kept us alive for the 4 days we were there.

Needs some work

This property over all was simply ok. Everything seems very basic and we almost feel like we were duped based on the photos online. So many things need to be updated and simply just better quality. We arrived to a very dirty backyard, leaking dishwasher, broken cabinets, no hot water in one bathroom, no basic items such as salt and pepper, paper thin blankets, no extra blankets, dollar store toilet paper, no grill to accommodate 6 people worth of food, etc. Although we made the best of this stay, we spent a lot of extra money just getting simply the basic needs to be mildly comfortable. We will not be recommending this property to others.

Family Christmas

We loved the house. It was perfect for our family ranging in ages 2 to 83. The open concept living area was a great place for everyone to hang out and the kids to play and color Christmas pictures. It was very also convenient to SeaWorld, San Antonio Zoo, HEB and local restaurants. The kids were excited to see the deer in the neighborhood at night. All had a wonderful time!

Great accommodation for large groups

The house is really big and spacious, will easily accommodate large parties comfortably. The location is great and the neighborhood was quiet and nice. Nearby a lot of larger chain grocery stores and a good area of SA. Communication with the host was fine, she was really quick on the spot to answer back. The grill is so so small, so keep this in mind if you are wanting to BBQ for a big group. The pool was in really rough condition, but they were draining it the day we left so maybe they’re going to redo it. Overall, I would definitely recommend. We enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay here again.

Nice Summer Spot for Large Group

The home is centrally located near many stores, very convenient. It it definitely large enough to fit a group of 21 people. We totally enjoyed the open concept downstairs (family room, kitchen, breakfast area). The AC worked great! Would stay here again in San Antonio. Few downfalls: very small bbq grill, master shower drains slow so pool of water over your feet as you shower, pool wasn’t cleaned until day 2 of our visit, not sure of trash pickup days but the last guest trash was there through day 2 of our visit attracting many flies, the property has an abundance of flies (time of year I believe)

Fun in San Antonio

Great stay. House was clean and well kept, kids had a blast in the pool. Great locale to Sea World and Fiesta Texas. House had everything we needed. Neighborhood was great.

Amazing location

Check-in was easy, host allowed us to check in early which was a plus. Host communication was above and beyond. House was roomie and accommodated our entire family. Pots were great for cooking and good quality. Plenty if towels, dishes, and trash bags etc were provided which was a big plus. Would stay again and cannot wait to see what this house will look like next year.

Great house for large groups and kids! Large kitchen and dining area for everyone.

This is an older home but perfect for our group. A few items we found during our stay that need to be fixed. - Upstairs middle shower did not drain - could not open door from kitchen to outside - threshold trim in master room to bathroom was not secured - trim on entrance stairs was loose on top step that caused a trip hazard - dark around the pool area at night. Was a little tricky maneuvering around the pool at night
