The location is good and it appeared to be clean and orderly till we found 2 dirty socks under the sofa and terrible stains on the mattress of the voteAll in all it was good and comfortable. The price was good too.

Beach Access!!!

This property is great for beach access! Literally just steps away. Property does have beach views. Can also see the Mission Bay too, from the alley way. Properly has definitely been updated. Property has all the amenities you would need, including chairs, towels and boogie boards you can take down to the beach. However, if you plan to bring a car, just know there is no designated parking, the listing is misleading. You may have to park on the street, which extremely limited, and potentially a couple miles down the road like we had to. The apartment was clean, but when we stayed there, it did appear as if the sheets were not clean, if they were, they did have other peoples hair still on them. Overall, good place to stay for beach access, but parking is my pet peeve, along with clean bed sheets. If I couldn't find another place with assigned parking. I'd stay here again.

Nice stay at nice price

This is a building with two units. You enter through a locked door on the ground level and walk up a flight of steps to a patio serving both. We stayed in the smaller studio unit whose section of patio has an actual beach view--the photo is quite accurate--you can sit at two bar-height chairs and eat and drink while actually seeing, hearing, and smelling the ocean. It's well-maintained. They've fixed the most important maintenance issues from the prior year we stayed. The shared wall is thick enough that we've never heard the neighbors (with kids) in the other unit. No air conditioning, but if you open the screen door and windows and strategically use drapes it stays quite comfortable even in August. Plenty of fans in the unit but we've never needed them. If you sleep with windows open, the street can be noisy with overexcited bar patrons in the middle of the night and truck traffic in the early morning. Otherwise it's a good location--a very affordable rental shop across the street, good bus service, plenty of eating and drinking spots within a few blocks, grocery and pharmacy and lots more eating and drinking 15 minutes walking one direction, and old-school amusement park about a half hour walk the other direction if that's your thing. It's a good space for the two of us. We've stayed twice and hope to return next year. It's the best compromise of price, location, and amenities we've found.

Perfect family beach getaway!

The space was less than a block from the beach, with views from the balcony and room. We appreciated the extra bed provided and sofa bed. It fit our family of four comfortably. We got to BBQ on the porch and use the beach equipment, which was a huge bonus. We will definitely book this place again!

Wonderful Beach Stay in Mission Beach!

We had a fantastic stay at the beach house in Mission Beach! The property was clean, well-maintained, and just steps away from the beach. The location was perfect for our family, with plenty of nearby restaurants, shops, and activities to keep everyone entertained.

Cool getaway spot

This clean studio apartment is near everything in Mission Beach and in spite of being busy during the day, is quiet at night. It felt safe, since it's upstairs and both door and entry gate have codes. The bed was comfortable and the kitchen functional. It's back off the beach walk enough that it feels private and the two-seat counter on the balcony was a nice place to have a glass of wine. The only potential negatives: If people weren't mindful to set the lock at the downstairs gate, it was left unlocked. I couldn't find foil, saran wrap or waxed paper. I think they should be included if you provide a kitchen. No thermostat, so it relies on open windows,/sliding door, fans and space heaters for climate control.

Last minute plans, no Cabo for us thanks to hurricane Norma

We scheduled last minute because our trip to Mexico was canceled due to a hurricane. It took several phone messages and text messages to confirm our reservation. The response time was a little concerning but we had a great time.
