Hôtels acceptant les animaux de compagnie à Santa Cruz do Douro, Baião

« Casa das Lérias is a beautiful hotel with comfortable rooms, a lovely pool, and an excellent breakfast. The property itself deserves high praise. Unfortunately, the hospitality did not match the quality of the hotel. At breakfast, I was barely greeted and was immediately told to sit outside. When I said I preferred to eat inside, two employees discussed me in Portuguese, assuming I wouldn't understand. I do understand Portuguese, and I found it very unprofessional to talk about a guest instead...

« This is a totally different hotel concept to the standard elsewhere. There is no reception or housekeeping staff, only personnel to provide the breakfast each morning. That means you can get a room more cheaply, as the hotel operator has lower costs that are partly passed on to guests. My room wasn´t cleaned, the bin emptied or sheets changed in the four days that I was there, but I can live with that. The doors are operated using a code you type in, so there are no keys or passes you have to...
