We take a family and friends vaca every year to Destin or Santa Rosa ., I rented this property because of the pool and the house was close to the beach.. the pool pump was not working the first three days, the pool maintenance person did show up and replaced the pump. However the chairs by the pool were not useable, rusty broken and the fabric was torn ..I did report this but nothing was done, hopefully the next family will be luckier than we were.. the house was spacious but if I can make a recommendation, I would purchase an area rug for the living room and clean the one that is there so you would have one to trade out each week the same for the slip covers in the sofa and chairs they were filthy. I want to say thank you to Heather, there were a few things that we needed help with when we arrived and she took care of us.. this is a beautiful home and I hope these suggestions will help you in the future.

Family vacation

The house was ok clean, check in process was ok. We had issues with trash not being picked up before us so we had nowhere to throw out trash. The beds were not comfortable mattresses need to be updated. Living room furniture is way to dirty and worn out not enough sitting room for compare how big is the house.

A True Gem

This property was absolutely fantastic. The listing was spot on and the house was beautiful and immaculate. We had 7 people on our trip and not a single complaint. The walk to the beach was about 5-7 minutes and getting to pass the Snack Shack on the way was a huge plus. They had great coffee, food, and ice cream. They also have bike and golf cart rentals there as well. The location of the property was right in the middle of plenty of places to eat and shop. It was a quick and beautiful 10 minute drive the Seaside Square as well. The girls are already talking about planning our next trip back.

Wishing we could go back already!

Our family stayed the week. The house was perfect for our young family. The kids loved the pool. The home was large enough to accommodate our group of 7 (4 adults and 3 children). Everyone had plenty of space! It was close to the beach which was perfect, and the restaurant across the street (Local Catch) was a hit with everyone. We ate there twice in the week😊

Great house for family beach trip!

The check in process and overall communications with the property manager were very good. Ocean Reef sent several texts throughout the day of check in to make sure we were kept in the loop and to make sure we knew who to call if we had issues. We ran into issues with the dishwasher and some of the bathroom power outlets and the dishwasher on day two of our stay. We called the number given on the text messages and within a few hours maintenance showed up and got us squared away. Later that day we lost our wifi connection, and again maintenance responded promptly. The beds were surprisingly comfortable, given a lot of vacation rentals we've stayed in were lacking in this area. Huge plus for me! However, privacy is still a bit of an issue as stated in a review I read prior to our stay. There are some windows that are lacking window treatments or any kind of covering, and there is a very tall house being built adjacent to this property, which allows line of sight view to the master bedrooom and bath. The kitchen is really big and decently appointed. If you plan on boiling shrimp, you'll need to bring a large pot, however Goatfeathers (2 blocks away), will steam shrimp or crab legs for free!). The living room is really tiny (seating for five), which is the main reason i gave this an overall ranking of four stars, but there is a lot of outdoor seating which can help make up for this. Overall, this was a great place to stay and I'd definitely stay here again.

House was very nice. Layout was good. Pool was nice. Beach was very accessible even with a toddler and infant. Was not impressed with the cleanliness of the home. When we drove up the drive the two garbage bins were overflowing. Garbage on the ground that we tried to clean up. Definitely a bachelorette party took place. Long black hair all over one of the comforters. Walked around barefoot, bottoms of our feet were black. Poop streaks in one of the toilets. Also construction was was going on behind this home. No privacy in the back where the pool was. Also they could look inside the back bedroom door and bathroom windows. No blinds. Overall we had a nice time. Just disappointed. Reached out with these issues. No response.

Great Family Spot

We had three generations staying at Seas the Day and had a great experience. The kids loved the pool, and the house was beautiful new construction. Multiple restaurants, an ice cream shop and the beach were within walking distance, but the house still felt private and quiet.
